"You seem rather happy today." Sam greeted Danny, who had a huge smile planted on his face. Danny replied, "Well why wouldn't I? I haven't had to deal with a single ghost in two months! It's like they've finally decided to stop causing havoc." Tucker raised an eyebrow. "But, don't you find that odd Danny? That they'd just... stop out of nowhere?" Danny shook his head. "Nope!" he said, too caught up in joy.
Everyone else at school though, didn't seem as cheerful as Danny was. They seemed, afraid.
"Hey, what's with everyone else? Dash even seems... out of it..." he said, fighting a snicker. Sam blinked. "Haven't you been watching the news lately?" she asked. "The news?" Danny replied raising an eyebrow. Tucker nodded and said, "Yeah, if you'd been watching, there's been a series of murders recently. They say that the victims would have a bunch of small hair thin cuts on the neck, wrists, and ankles, but they were not deep enough for blood loss to be the cause of death." Sam added, "They don't know exactly what the cause of death was but this one paranormal detective said there was some sort of odd spiritual aura unlike anything he knew about lingering about all the murdered." Danny's smiled faded instantly and was replaced by a grimace. "Sounds like something done by a ghost, but I haven't had my ghost sense recently..."
"That's odd, considering, if it is a ghost, the murders were all nearby." Tucker commented. Danny went wide eyed for a moment. "What!" Sam shrugged. "Then maybe it's not a ghost, just something else. Like a gypsy or something." Danny sighed. "Maybe."
'If it is a ghost causing those murders and I'm not getting my ghost sense... Maybe I'm losing my powers...' Danny thought. This worried Danny, considering, if he was losing his powers, then who would save everyone from the ghosts?
He heard someone laugh. "You're not losing your powers, it's just able to cloak it's presence." Danny heard a young male voice say. It sounded a few years younger than he himself. "Maybe you should take that detail into consideration, eh?" the voice added. Danny saw the small cloud of blue mist emerge from his lips. "See? You just had your sense about me." Danny blinked. He glanced in the direction he heard the voice from. He saw not a ghost though, no one really. "Danny, what's up, you've just been standing there silent, with this look like your listening to someone." Sam said with a raised eyebrow.
"But- didn't you hear anyone? I thought I heard someone..." Tucker and Sam shook their heads. "Didn't hear a thing Danny. Maybe the murders are just getting to your head. We should be going to class now though. The bell's about to ring." Tucker said. Danny shrugged. "I'll see you two later." the raven haired boy replied before running off to his locker to put away his backpack and gather his books, then to class.
Later That Day
After talking with Sam and Tucker about the murders a bit more, and about the voice Danny heard that morning, Danny went home.
"Hey Danny." Jazz greeted him upon entrance to his home. Danny waved before walking off upstairs to his room. "Hey, where are you going?" Danny called behind him, "To bed, I'm tired." Jazz blinked. "But, aren't you going to have dinner?" "Ate at the diner with Sam and Tucker. Tell mom and dad I said Hi." he called for the final time before he dissapeared in his room.

Danny flopped down on his bed and yawned. He rolled onto his side and layed there for a few minutes before drifting off into sleep.

"Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanny." he heard the voice from that morning again say. "Are you always this tired? Geez, when I was alive I was only nine and I never fell asleep as fast as you did!" Danny blinked as he saw the figure of a young boy with red hair and pale blue eyes. "What? No, and why are you... FOLLOWING me?" Danny blurted out. "To ask for your help and to ask if you'll stop that murderer. If not, you'll lose someone dear." the boy replied in an eerie tone. Danny choked on his own saliva for a second, from shock/fear/weirded-outness. Danny asked suddenly, "How do you (seem to) know so much!" The boy laughed. "My sister." he said in response, pointing at the appearing figure of a seventeen year old girl with matching hair and eyes.
"We were both murdered together. Our mother, she was pitiful, and asked we be killed first, but together, me and my brother. We have no idea what happened to our mother... She was a bit out if it anyways, but she dissapeared between the time we died and were put on earth from between life and death. Even after death though, I still have my ability to see bits of the future, and what's in future for that murderer and a dear friend of yours doesn't seem all that bright..." the girl said. Danny went wide eyed. "Wait, first, um, can I ask, your names? Before, I, get myself involved in a life threatening situation.." She chuckled. "I'm Clara, the miniature is Jack." the girl said. "Hey! I'm not miniature!" Jack shouted at her. "I was most definitely taller than you at nine. And everyone else up the bloodline says your are/were the shortest yet. But, anyway..." Clara said, sticking her tongue out at her little brother.
"Yeah... Um, if I do get involved, which I most likely will..." Danny started, only to be interrupted by Clara, answering his unsaid question, "Sam." Danny went wide-eyed for a moment, and that's when he woke.

Author Note: Sorry, I'm new to writing Danny Phantom fanfiction... I have only seen ((dun Dun DUN)) one and a half episodes, though I've read some DP fanfiction and character bios. So, um, no hurting? I'm sure it's not all that great and it could be longer, but I couldn't help but be excited on writing it, and I guess I wanted to also hang at some dramatic part. o.O I wouldn't say it's a cliffhanger, but perhaps it is... ((shrugs)) Who knows?
