By The Rivers Of Babylon…

"Turlough, you never cease to amaze me," the Doctor said in a tone of wonderment.

Turlough looked up from the computer screen in front of him, a quizzical expression on his face. "What? Why? What did I do now?"

An amused smile spread across the Doctor's face at his companion's guilty tone. "I didn't know you were interested in Earth's ancient history," he said in way of clarification. He looked down at the navigational controls and then back up again. "I know you said you liked history, but I didn't think you meant Mesopotamia."

The scowl on Turlough's face deepened. "Doctor, I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about. I didn't say a word about Mesopotamia."

"Yes, you did. Just now."

"No, I'm quite sure I'd remember saying something like that."

Now it was the Doctor's turn to scowl. "Did you or did you not just say something about the wars in ancient Babylon?"

Turlough's eyes lit up a split second before he burst out laughing.

"And just what is so funny?" the Doctor asked astringently.

It took a moment before his companion could speak coherently. "Doctor, I said I just read something very interesting about you and that the author's pen name is Warinbabylon."

"Oh."
