Disclaimer: I don't own Ed, Edd, and Eddy.

The sun beat down on the huge rock tower like a drummer in a complicated piece. Three boys stood on the hot rock, their skin as red as tomatoes, with a few apples thrown in for good measure. They were Ed, Edd, and Eddy.

"Ouch!".

Ed, being the dumb one, felt little or no pain when his half-burned body was touched, instead preferring to laugh as he was touched, which was in revenge for him poking the full-body sunburns of his two friends, Edd and Eddy. They had been standing on this rock for a few hours, too busy trying to cause pain to one another to try and get down. It was now 5:00, and they had to get home for dinner, or they would starve up there. They were rooted in place, as the spot were they stood had long since been cooled down enough by their feet protecting the spot from painful ultraviolet rays, while the rest of the rock was as hot as a skillet, and any attempts to walk across the burning stone resulted in the kids quickly jumping back to their original spot. It was also impossible to jump down, as one side had rocks, the other side had trees, another side had steaming hot water, and the last side had very hot sand. The one chance was a cool spot of grass, abou in size. Even if they could make the difficult jump, the rock was twenty feet tall, which could result in a broken leg or two. They were stuck.

"Eddy, ouch!" Edd said than cried out in pain as Ed poked him. "We have only one, ow, chance to make it down, youch!".

"What?" asked his short companion, who was rooted in place. "We must, yeow, climb down the rock tower, oohoohooey!" Edd said and shouted again, as he was closest to Ed, taking the brunt of the pokes.

"Edd, your crazy!" Eddy exclaimed. "We can't climb down those hot rocks! We'll burn like fried eggs!". "But Eddy, I'm getting hungry!" Ed whined before commencing another round of poking.

For several more minutes, the group thought, and thought, and thought some more. Finally, Ed couldn't take it any more.

"I MUST EAT!" he shouted, once more his usual crazy self, and tried to run. "NO, ED, NO!" the other boys shouted, but their cries fell on deaf and stupid ears.

Ed ran/hopped across the burning stone tower, yelping all the way, and finally made it to the edge of the tower. He screamed as he fell like the rocks that made up the tower into the steaming creek. His height caused him to zoom straight under the surface.

Edd and Eddy tried to look over the edge, standing on the balls of their feet. "Ed?" they both shouted down to the water. For several seconds, nothing happened. Then, the water bubbled and churned, and Ed shot from the water like a fleshy Polaris Missle, his body steaming, and landed right on his original spot on the rock. The sun silently cursed. It had almost gotten the rock hot again.

The painful poking resumed, but Ed suddenly grabbed Edd and threw him, laughing like an idiot. Edd flew off into the forest, screaming "EEEEEEEEED!"

Not long after, he hit a tree, which bent, and was snapped back. He, in a cruel twist of fate, landed on his spot on the rock. The sun practically went supernova in it's anger.

Eddy finally had enough. He looked up at the sun. "Okay, you!" he shouted at the bright ball of plasma in the sky, "you have three seconds to stop burning this rock and let us go, or you're gonna get it!". He shook his fist for good measure.

He started counting down, and at the end of the count, the sun was suddenly blotted out by dark clouds. Eddy gave the sky a rude gesture, and the kids began to walk for the way off the rock. There was an abrupt crack from the sky, at that moment, and a bolt of lightning shot into the rock right behind them. The Eds screamed, while Ed laughed, as they flew through the sky with very little ease. They landed in a heap on that one patch of grass. The dark clouds parted, and the heat started up once more. The sun's brightness pulsed several times, as if it was laughing at Ed, Edd, and Eddy.

"Okay guys," Eddy groaned. "Let's go home."

Edd extended his feet, Ed reached out his hand, and Eddy placed his fingers on the ground, and the tangle of kids "walked" off into the neighborhood.
