"Come on Wally, hit me with your best shot."

"This is so stupid."

"Shut up, John. I'm trying to concentrate."

"Will you hurry up, Wally? I can't stay like this all day."

"You two seriously need to stop doing this in public."

Flash flicked the small paper triangle expertly passed Shayera's pointed fingers at the other side of the table.

She smiled and picked up the 'football' Flash had made out of paper from her lap. "And another point goes to the Flash, fastest man alive and the greatest paper football player ever born."

John sighed, shaking his head. "So ridiculously stupid."

"You're just jealous because you suck at this game," Flash informed him, reaching for his iced mocha.

"I do not!" John exclaimed, staring at the hero in red in an amazed sort of way, as if the iced mocha Flash was drinking had morphed into a purple, three-legged monster.

Shayera patted his arm. "Yeah, you do. You suck big time."

He turned his stare to the winged woman. " I do not!" He repeated. "I just think it's the stupidest game ever invented."

"Because you suck at it," Flash said.

"No," John said threw gritted teeth, "I do not."

Shayera held out the paper football. "Then prove it."

"Yeah!" Flash agreed. "Prove it."

John rolled his eyes and took the football. Shayera made a goal post out of her fingers and smiled slyly at him. John carefully aimed at the space between her fingers. He flicked the paper football and sent it flying.

It hit Flash in the chest, right on his emblem.

Flash lifted the triangle up. "How is that even possible, dude?" He asked.

Vixen shifted on her feet, contemplating her options. She'd been standing in the middle of the watchtower cafeteria for a good two minutes now, holding her tray full of food in front of her, and staring at the empty chair at their table.

She could see the empty chair, positioned directly across from her beau. And, yet…

There she was, standing in the middle of the watchtower cafeteria, holding her tray full of food.

The three of them together just looked…

Well, she wasn't entirely sure what they just looked like, or why she felt such hesitation in joining their group.

Flash and Shayera were obviously ribbing John about something, and though there was a glare on his face, it was apparent he didn't mind the teasing. She should go over there, jokingly defend her man, sit down, and start eating. She should sit in that empty chair. She should join their group.

But that's what it was. Their group. And the three of them fit so perfectly together.

The media had dubbed them "The Little Three" in relation to Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, who were "The Big Three." And she had heard other members pick that title up. At first she'd found it cute and somewhat endearing. Now, however, it only pointed out what she should have noticed earlier.

There was only room for three at their table.

Vixen sighed, shook her head, and decided to sit with Booster Gold, Supergirl, and Zatanna.

She was going to have to talk to John later.

The end.
