Title: Static Electricity

Rating: K+

Genre: Romance/Humor

Summary: Wilson tries to get House to admit his feelings for Stacy. House/Wilson Friendship. One-shot. Takes place right after The Mistake.

Disclaimer: I don’t own House or Wilson (damn!), or anything relating to the show. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be writing this fan fiction.

A/N: This just popped into my head earlier.

The door to House’s office closed shut behind Wilson. He stood in front of House’s desk, watching the misanthrope play with his game boy. House put all his energy into playing the game boy and ignoring Wilson. Wilson crossed his arms and glared at House.

“You keep that up and you’ll start to look like Cuddy,” said House, not looking up from his game boy. After Wilson didn’t say anything for several seconds, House looked up at Wilson and rolled his eyes. He paused his game boy. “You look like Cuddy.”

“Why are you acting like this?” asked Wilson.

“Sarcastic? Rude? You should know by now that it’s in my nature.”

Wilson sat down in the chair across from House. “Why are you acting horribly to Stacy? Do you think she’ll leave Mark and come running back to you if you piss her off at every available second?”

“Yes.” House unpaused his game boy and continued mashing buttons.

“You’re not serious.”

“Of course I am. Why would I lie to you?”

“Everyone lies.”

“Hey.” House paused the game boy and looked at Wilson. “That’s my phrase.”

“You’re acting like a five-year-old.”

“Where have I heard that before?” said House, speaking in mock wonderment. He threw his game boy on his desk and twirled his cane in his fingers. “Oh, yes, just about every day—“

House.”

What?”

“I’m trying to help you here,” said Wilson annoyed. “But before I can help you, you have to help me.”

“No can do.”

“Why?”

“That would require me to be nice to you. And that’s too difficult for me.”

“Just admit that you want her.”

“Want who?”

“Stacy.”

“Why?” House stopped twirling his cane, picked a file up off of his desk, and began to pretend to look at it.

“You really think I’m going to believe that you’re reading a patient’s file?” Wilson gave House a hard look.

“Speaking of patients, I have a patient with leukemia I need you to talk to, since you’re the only oncologist that will speak to me.”

“Admit it.”

“Why is it so important to you that I admit my undying love for someone who is standing outside my office talking to Cameron?” House jabbed his cane to where Cameron and Stacy were talking.

Wilson glanced over at them and then back to House. “It’ll be a step towards your recovery.”

“I really hope you’re not talking about the infarction because if you are—“

“I mean the horrible humiliation and depression you’ve been experienced since Stacy decided to hate you because you looked at her file.”

“Oh, I see.” House began twirling his cane again. “You want me to admit that I love her.”

“Have you actually told her that you love her since she got back here?”

“Can’t say I have.”

“Have you actually said the words ‘I love Stacy’ out loud?”

“Oh, fine.” House rolled his eyes. “I love St—“ Stacy came into the office “—atic electricity.”

“I’m not going to ask.” Stacy held a file out to House. “Patient complaint. I thought you should take a look at it before giving it to Cuddy.”

House snatched the file from her and began reading it. Stacy left the room quickly. As she left, House looked up and stared at her butt as she walked away.

“Way to be subtle,” said Cameron as she entered the office.

“Stop talking,” House snapped.

Cameron rolled her eyes and handed House another file. “The CT scan results.” She left.

“Women don’t like me today,” House commented.

“You’re observant.

The two doctors looked out the office door to see Cuddy coming. She didn’t look happy.

“We better run, your evil twin is coming.”

A/N: It's not much, but I’d love any feedback! ;)
