Merry Christmas and Have A Great New Year!

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation – All I Want For Christmas

Ashlee Stevens had been in Las Vegas for three years now and it was Christmas time. Her brother, Jay, had flown over from LA to spend Christmas with her and Greg, bringing with him his daughter, Kassy. She now stood in the long line at the local department store so her niece could see Santa. Kassy jumped up and down as it was her turn to see him next. The elf took Kassy up to Santa while Ashlee waited over the other side. She stood and stared at Santa, who look awfully familiar like one of her best friends. She went up to collect Kassy and noticed it was Nick Stokes dressed in his Santa suit. Ashlee took Kassys hand as she jumped down from Santa’s lap. Ashlee leaned down to Nick’s ear, “Nicky, that has to be the cutest outfit I’ve ever seen you in.” He smiled.

“So Ashlee…why don’t you tell Santa what you want for Christmas?”

“I’m little old to sit on Santa’s lap…come on Kassy…”

“No auntie Ashlee…you have to tell Santa what you want for Christmas or you won’t get it!” She shouted. Nick sat there nodding, enjoying the fact Ashlee’s check were going a shade of pink due to her niece. Ashlee gave in and sat on Nick’s lap. The elf playing with Kassy in the corner of the stage.

“Ok Santa…I want…” She leaned in and whispered into Nick’s ear. He smiled from ear to ear and nodded.

“I think even Santa can give that to you…” She got up and left Nick still smiling in his Santa’s suit as he continued to play the part for the rest of the kids.

“What did you ask Santa for?” Kassy asked when they got back to the house.

“I can’t tell you that!” She said, as she put the cookies she made in the oven. There was a knock at the door and Kassy ran to answer it.

“Auntie Ashlee…there’s someone at the door for you…” Ashlee ran over to the door and smiled to see Nick standing there with a box in his hand.

“Hey Nicky…you wanna come in?”

“This is for you.” He said as he came into the house. “Smells good in here…”

“I made cookies Nicky…did you want some?”

“How can I say no to that?”

“Nicky this is my niece, Kassy…Kassy this is my friend Nick…”

“It’s nice to meet you…” The little one said to the tall Texan.

“Same here…”

Ashlee took the tray of cookies out of the oven and put them on a plate. Taking out two glasses and milk and putting them on the table. She poured out the milk and gave Kassy one glass and a few cookies, sending her off to towards the TV.

It was Christmas Eve and Greg sat in his and Ashlee’s room staring at the ceiling. Ashlee came in with another plate of cookies she had been making all day. It was in the shape of a heart. Greg smiled as she handed him the cookie. He had been at work all day and been stuck with Grissom lecturing him. He sat up and began to nibble at the cookie. “I know it’s not Christmas day for another hour…but I want you to have this now.” She grabbed the box Nick had brought over and handed it to him. He unwrapped it and beneath the paper was another box with a note on top.

All I want for Christmas is you.

All I ever want is for you to be happy.

I love you.

XxX

He smiled at her and undone the box, inside was four plane tickets to California and four plane tickets to Vegas. “I know you miss your family…so I thought that you could see them…” She took the four tickets to California and put them in one hand. “…They can be used when ever you want…” She picked up the other four tickets. “…I also know that you want your family to see Vegas…so I have four plane tickets from California to Vegas…” She put them in his other hand. “…So they can see you whenever they want…basically Greg…I love you and you’ve given me more than I could ask for so I wanted to do something for you…you miss your family especially your Grandpa…so now you can both see one another…”

“It’s two trips to California…” He said, still staring at the tickets.

“No Greg…it’s four…” She said pointing to the tickets in his hand.

“No it’s two because I won’t be leaving without you…I love you so much…”

“Greg these tickets are for you to see you family…”

“I will be…but with you…” She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately.”

“I love you so much Greggo…”

“Jeg elsker De”

“Norwegian?”

“Yeah…it means I love you…” She laughed at him and took his hand, taking him out to the family room. They sat on the couch, Ashlee in his arms. He looked over at the picture on the table. It was of them at the CSI Winter Ball last year, Warrick had quickly taken the picture as they kissed under the mistletoe. He smiled and kissed her forehead.

“Lystig Jul Greggo.”

“Merry Christmas to you too …” He said, stroking the back of her hand with his thumb. Soon they heard footsteps and screams from Kassy and Greg smiled as he sat and wondered if that could be there child one day.

The End
