Zero vs Tiko

Author Notes: My friend Jason McPhee, has granted me permission to write this story. It’s my Mamodo Zero, against his Mamodo Tiko. Enjoy.

The sun rose over the horizons of the Mamodo world. Morning dew sparkled in the grasslands and forests of this fascinating world. It was another one of those perfect peaceful mornings. A year ago, this home of the creatures called Mamodos had what was called ‘The Battle for Mamodo King’. The winner and the new king of the Mamodo world was a little lightning Mamodo named Zatch Bell, he was destine to become a kind king of the Mamodo world for eternity.

But even eternity doesn’t last forever.

From every Mamodo village, town, and small city, Mamodo soldiers were marching all over the world, commanding everyone to gather at King Zatch’s castle. Within one day, every Mamodo in their own world was at King Zatch’s castle.

“Presenting your royal highness: King Zatch Bell.” a royal knight Mamodo announced on a microphone which spread out so that every Mamodo could here. The king walked out, with his blue and gold cape being drag along his path. Everyone cheered upon his majesty as he looked out at his people.

“Will the chosen Mamodo children please come forth?” Zatch spoke and a guard next to him took the microphone and read the names on a list.

One teenage Mamodo and five children Mamodos walked up to face the king. The first Mamodo was a girl who just became seven years old, the same age as King Zatch. She had red hair, pale red eyes, and was wearing pink and red dress. Her name is Tia and her power is mostly defense.

The second Mamodo was a boy who looked like a weirdo. He had orange hair, and had a duck bill for a mouth. He may not look like much, but he has a will of honor. His is Kanchome’ and his power is transformation.

The third is the teenage Mamodo. His is Wonrei. He has white hair and purple eyes. Back in the battle for king, his book owner was a Chinese girl who taught him a lot about martial arts, and he really does look like the type who knows martial arts, since it is his powers.

The fourth Mamodo was a another child. He looked like cross between a sailor and a four-eyes geek. But don’t let him fool you, because his name is Kido and his power is guns and rockets.

But the most unique looking ones are the last two Mamodo children. They both look exactly like King Zatch.

The first of these two unique Mamodo child had dirty blond hair and good tan skin. His face looks like King Zatch, except a bit more serious. He wore a red shirt with a fire emblem on it with brown gloves, yellow jeans, orange shoes, and had a necklace with a fire symbol on it. His name is Tiko and his power is fire.

And the last Mamodo child also looks like King Zatch, even the same face, except he looks more dark. He had dark black hair with a few streaks of snow white hair, he also had pale skin and dark crimson red-purple eyes. He’s wearing a cloak like King Zatch’s except it’s black, has a hood, and instead of a bow-like ribbon on its front, it has a white ‘X’ on its front instead. His name is Zero, but he wasn’t born like every one else was. He’s actually a Mamodo experiment created by the last Mamodo king from the DNA of three powerful Mamodos. And last, his power is the main elements of good and evil: Light and Darkness.

“Everyone, I’ve brought you six here to let you all know something very important.” King Zatch spoke to the six Mamodos and all of them except Zero nodded.

“You see, I talk to the high council about becoming the kind Mamodo king forever, but they wouldn’t agree. They said I must choose a runner up to become the next king when my thousand year reign ends. They said I must choose a runner up, or we begin another Mamodo battle on Earth again. Though I have you guys to choose, but I just can’t decide which.” Zatch finished. All six Mamodos couldn’t come with anything to say until Zero spoke first.

“I’ll become your runner up King.” Zero stepped forward.

“Hold it! I want to become the runner up king. Zatch, you even promised to make me the runner up.” Tiko barged in.

“Well, he promised me as well. And he promised me first.” Zero responded in a still calm dark voice.

“Who cares about you. You’re just a dark Mamodo, and no dark Mamodo deserves to be king at all.” Tiko spoke back at Zero, but then the experiment Mamodo grabbed the fire Mamodo by the collar of his shirt.

“Listen. I may be a dark Mamodo, but I’m not evil. And you couldn’t even last a nanosecond as a runner up king.”

“Are you challenging me?” Tiko asked in anger.

“As a matter of fact, yes.” Zero answered as he released Tiko.

“You won’t stand a chance against me, you experiment.” Tiko responded as he balled his fist.

“Break it up, you two. I know what has to be done, and as much as I hate to do this, you both gonna have to fight each other in a Mamodo battle back on Earth.” Zatch got between both Tiko and Zero. Zero gave a cold stare as he turned and walked away with his hood now over his head.

“Zatch, you promised me that you’ll let me become the runner up if anything bad were to happen to you.” Tiko spoke in concern to the King.

“I’m sorry, Tiko, but I also promised Zero as well.”

“But why would you make a promise to someone like him?”

“Because I understood him back in the battle for king. I understand his feelings, the way he is in our world. It’s true, Tiko. He has been treated more horrible than I have. Not because he’s a weakling, it’s because he’s different. He wasn’t born like we all were, he was created from the DNA of Brago, Zofis, and Zeno. And unlike all of us, Tiko, he doesn’t have a family. No parents, no siblings, no one. Back in the battle he wanted to become a king who’ll let everyone be treated equally. So when I won, I promised him too, that if anything were to happen to me, I would let him become the next king.” Zatch explained with a hand on Tiko’s shoulder.

Tiko’s eyes widen, he never thought of Zero that way. “Oh, Zatch. I never knew that Zero was really like that. Oh, I’m sorry for my behavior, Zatch.”

“It’s okay, Tiko. But you should get ready. You have a battle coming soon against Zero.” Zatch responded with a smile and Tiko smile back.
