Hello! Yes, another story. Are you guys tired of me yet?

But for future reference, I’m going to go three months, from January to March since I probably won’t get all the stories I want up by the end of November, without creating any more stories so that I can finish a few of my other ones.

And now I bring you, the closest thing to the actual episodes, one of my few stories including Insight View that will stay with the show at all possible times! Enjoy!

The New Fenton Invention

April 9, 2005

“Five…four…three…two…one! Now!” Tucker shouted, simultaneously pressing down a button on the timer.

A streak of silver and black color rushed past him and Tucker swayed, planting his feet firmly on the ground.

“One eighty, come on Danny,” Sam said beside him. Tucker glanced over at the screen she was looking at and grinned. “One ninety….two hundred!”

Danny suddenly stopped, right in front of them and landed on the lab floor, a big grin on his face. However, motion caught up with him and he clapped a hand to his forehead, stumbling backwards. “Whoa…head rush…”

“Dizzy?” she asked.

“Hey, guess what?” he said, blinking several times. “When you race around a room at two hundred miles an hour, you tend to get a little tipsy…”

“I told you,” Sam pointed out.

“At least he isn’t throwing up,” Tucker added. “Yet.”

Sam shook her head and turned back to Danny, smiling. “So…how does it feel, going that fast?”

“Totally awesome,” he replied excitedly.

“And just two months ago, you were one hundred and twenty,” Tucker said. “If you get any faster, you could probably make the earth quake.”

Danny and Sam laughed. She held out one finger. “I say we celebrate. The Nasty Burger is open until eleven.” Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Danny yawn. “For those of us who can make it to that time.” She turned to her and he smiled. “Up late last night Dan?”

“Yeah,” he replied. “Ghost trouble.”

“What else is new?” Tucker wondered. “I’m starving, and ready for a Nasty Burger.”

“What else is new?” Danny and Sam said together. They looked at each other and laughed. Tucker sighed and shook his head, but then looked up, his eyes narrowing.

Danny followed his gaze. “What?”

“What is that?” he asked.

“What is what?”

He pointed. “Underneath the sheet.”

Danny looked closely and saw a very large object that he hadn’t even noticed before now, covered by a white sheet. He zoomed over to it, grabbing the cloth and pulling it off.

It was like an octagonal shaped tunnel that was attached to the wall. Danny dropped to the ground, and his face lit up, an eerie, green, luminescent glow shadowed on his face. Whatever the new invention was…

It was the portal to something.

“Sweet,” Danny said.

“What is it?” Sam asked. Her lilac eyes caught something hooked to the top by several wires, shaped like a box. It looked like a digital alarm clock except it had eight numbers. 04092015 reflected back at them in red glow.

“I don’t know. You would think my parents would tell me if they had a new thing,” he said, examining every inch of the vortex inside the deep tunnel. “They tell me about all the other inventions they have…Well, my dad does at least.”

“But what is it?” Tucker asked. “It looks like the Ghost Portal, except for that dome thing.”

“Why don’t we check it out?” Sam asked excitedly.

“Yeah, Danny,” Tucker agreed, shoving Danny forwards. “Why don’t we check it out?”

“Sure,” he said.

He took a step forwards and glanced back when he didn’t hear them follow. “Aren’t you guys coming?”

“After you. I remember what happened last time one of us walked into something like that,” Tucker said.

“Tucker’s got a point,” Sam said. “As much as I’m up for going inside, you’re already a ghost. Half ghost, whatever.”

“You’re so supportive,” Danny said sarcastically. He sighed. “Look, I’ll go first, but if I come out with a tail, I am so shoving you in there.”

“Deal,” Tucker and Sam said together.

“Alright then,” he said, turning back. He turned back, his heartbeat a little faster than normal. Yeah, he remembered what happened last time he’d done something like this.

He set his hand out cautiously in front of him and inched it carefully towards the swirling green light. As soon as he did, he felt himself being lifted off his feet as something tugged his entire body towards the vortex with a strength he couldn’t fight.

He closed his eyes, yelling as the scenery around him changed and everything spun so quickly that it was making him dizzy. Wind rushed past him in whirlwinds and his body was thrown every which way and the silence itself was deafening.

But then it stopped.

Breathing heavily, Danny was lying on his back, his eyes closed tightly together. He didn’t know where he was, but he knew wherever it was, he wasn’t in Kansas anymore.

He laughed at his own stupidity and dared to open his eyes. Wherever he was…it was pitch black and he could hardly see anything.

“Danny? Danny, what’s wrong? Are you okay?” asked a familiar voice. It wasn’t all the way familiar though; her voice was almost…older and deeper.

“Sam?” he asked, rolling over to where he’d heard her voice.

“Danny, what’s wrong?” she asked, leaning over him, her face concerned. He couldn’t help but notice that Sam looked very different. Or help to notice that he was sharing the same bed with her.

He yelled in shock, moving quickly, and then completely fell off the bed.

Ha ha! I can totally imagine Danny doing that. Hee hee. Yes, I know, with the new episode summaries, this story could or could not be ruined, but you’ll start to see some things that will go with the flow perhaps as soon as I see them of course.

Please R&R! Here’s your sneak peek!

Chapter 2: A New World

“This is not happening,” he said to himself, gripping his hair.

“What are you talking about?” Sam asked, her eyes wide. “Is there some sort of personal problem I should know about?”

“Oh, this is getting a little bit personal,” he said.
