Hello dear reader, this is my first Crossing Jordan story. I have yet to see all the episodes so bare with me if it doesn’t seem right with the show. Happened after PJF and it mentions JD. I also sadly do not own this show or anything to do with it. Thank-you, Taylor (Taybry).

The rain pored outside and the wind hissed as it hit the windows. The lights started to flicker on and off again. Jordan lay down on her couch and watched the candles burn. Just as another cold wind hit the window, a flash of thunder and lighting struck. The river of light filled the sky. Jordan turned her gaze out her window. As another hit shot across the starry night's sky, the power blew out. The dim candle light hovered around the floor were the sat. Pounding on the window, the rain continued harder. Jordan just laid were she was. Her thoughts ran thought her mind. She wore a plain tight white nightgown that reached her knees. As the thunder rolled again, she heard a knock on her door. Her head shot and looked at the clock that hung above her TV. 3 am. Who in their right mind would bother me at this ungodly hour, she thought getting up and walking to her big red door. JD had been long gone and all her friends were asleep; or so she thought. Jordan put her eye to the peephole and looked at the familiar face. "Woody..." She said unlocking her door and swinging it open. His eyes glistened as he saw her. Woody put a smile on.
"Hey! How are you?" He asked making his way into her apartment. She closed the door after he was in and followed him to the couch. "Did I wake you?"
Jordan shook her head. "I'm peachy. What brings you to my apartment at three during a blackout storm?" He chuckled and sat at the far end of the couch.
"I've been thinking... What you said to me in the hospital a year ago. You meant it, didn’t you?" The wind hit the windows. Jordan closed her eyes. Both love and anger rose inside. It had been a year today. A year since he broke her heart.
Not now, she thought, please not now. Not... Ever. Jordan sucked in a big breath of air and sighed. "Why?" Her word sounded cold. His eyes flickered with pain.
"I-I'm sorry," Woody said getting up to leave. “I shouldn't have come." As he started to leave, Jordan jumped up and grabbed his arm. Her eyes glisten with something he had only scene once. One year ago.
"I meant it. I still do. I-I never got over you, Woody. I'm sorry." Jordan let go of his arm and turned away. She had been acting all weird this week. She was having nightmares, but not about her mother. They were about him. It was always about her reaching the hospital and learning he had died. I still love you Woody.
"You have no reason to be sorry, Jordan. I was the ass. Not you. I had no right to do that to you. I was just scared I would die and lose you forever. I-I wasn't thinking. I love you, Jo. Please forgive me!" With his words, Jordan turned around to face him. They looked into each other eyes. Jordan suddenly let her tears fall. Silently Woody reached out and hugged her.
"I love you too, Woody. Please don't leave me again." Hearing her sound so small Woody let a tear roll down his cheek. The two stood there for a while, just in bracing each other. Suddenly, to his surprise, Jordan lifted her head from his shoulder and kissed him on the lips. When he noticed what she was doing, his kissed her back in till they both pulled apart for air.
Just then a loud roll of thunder hit.
Jordan awoke from her couch and sat up. All her candles had burnt out a while ago. Her eyes darted to the clock. It read almost 4 am. Jordan jolted up and searched her apartments for any signs of Woody. Then it hit her. It was all just a dream. Jordan sat on her bed and put her hands on her face. Sobs wracked her body.
Meanwhile...
Woody lay on his bed staring at the ceiling. All his thoughts where of Jordan. He had woken from this dream, disappointed to find he was not with Jordan, Sighing, he turned over and closed his eyes. A single tear rolled down his face.
Both of them were thinking, hearts broken, Maybe it wasn't suppose to be.
