Today is the night where there is no moon and when Inuyasha becomes full human.

His eyes are filled with sadness…

Like searching for someone…

And he was muttering as if trying to comfort someone…

“Kikyo… Kikyo… Tonight I am human and I miss you even more…

Tonight I am human and the promise I made to you is hunting me…

Kikyo… The promise I made that I would become human by the sacred jewel and live with you… That promise is running in my mind and won’t leave….

Kikyo… Tonight I am human and I keep thinking about the memories we had…

Kikyo… Even though I try I can’t forget you…

… Kikyo… Do you remember? The promise we made… To live together…”

Not fallen asleep yet Kagome came beside Inuyasha. And she called out his name.

“Inuyasha… Inuyasha..”

“… Hn?”

“… Are you still remembering Kikyo?”

“Didn’t forget Kikyo?”

“Yes…”

“It’s not that I forgot her… I can’t forget her…”

“What do you mean?”

“She’s the first to love me.”

“Is that the reason you love Kikyo so much?”

“Yeah…”

Silence filled between them. Inuyasha looked up at the sky, maybe thinking about Kikyo. Kagome was looking at Inuyasha sadness in her eyes. Not caring Inuyasha kept on staring at the sky muttering Kikyo’s name. Impatient Kagome made Inuyasha to look at her and started to talk.

“Kikyo Kikyo Kikyo… Do you like Kikyo that much? Inuyasha do you like Kikyo that much? Then what becomes of me? I always looked at you the way you looked at Kikyo… I love you the way you love Kikyo… Please, forget about her… Please, Inuyasha?”

“Kagome…”

Kagome started to cry. One by one tear drops started to fall. Kagome was crying. Kagome was… crying…

Not wanting to see her cry Inuyasha gently hugged her and wiped her tears with his hands.

“Don’t cry Kagome…”

“Inuyasha… Inuyasha…”

“Don’t cry Kagome… And I am sorry…”

“Why are you sorry? Why are you sorry… Inuyasha…?”

“I can’t love you yet… I can’t love you…”

“Inuyasha I don’t care… I just want to stay with you… Let me stay with you…”

Kagome pleaded still crying. But Inuyasha declined coldly. And then with a soft and caring voice he talked.

“Sorry… The person I should be with is Kikyo. The person I love is Kikyo and only her… I am sorry Kagome…”

After apologizing Inuyasha left into the forest searching for Kikyo.

Kagome remained where Inuyasha… once was… She looked up at the sky and muttered.

“Kikyo… You won… I knew I couldn’t stay beside Inuyasha… I knew he only looked at you… But…but… I couldn’t help but to love him… I will win Inuyasha’s love… I will beat you… It might take a long time but I won’t give up… That’s the only way to win Inuyasha… That’s the only way to make Inuyasha come back to me… And even now I will only love Inuyasha…”

‘Inuyasha… Will you come back to me?

Inuyasha… Won’t you love me?

Inuyasha… My heart is in pain as I see you leave…

Even though you are not here my heart is still beating for you…

I will only love you forever…

I will wait for you to come back to me… Even if it takes eternity…

Please Inuyasha come back to me…

My heart is beating for you and you alone…

I will wait for you… Inuyasha…’
