Author of 3 Stories |
Author Note:Ok this may take a while to start but eventually this will be/is a Legolas/OC fiction, don't blame me if it takes awhile to get there (actually blame me, I just want to blame someone else . they won't be happy). Now remember be nice, this is my first Fanfic up on the net and if I deem necessary I will take it down (hopefully not).
I guess I better put a disclaimer in.
I, the author, in no way, shape, or form own Lord of the Rings; I do own, however, Evangeline and any other character that you do not recognise. I also own the plot. (well what you don't recognise anyway)
(I am not Evangeline although our names are the same, she is not me. I wish it were though)
A special thanks to Anthony Callea (Australian Idol Runner up 2005) for the unsuspected use of his Song Title for my story.
"Evangeline!"
"What! I was listening" I stare blankly at my boss. 'Boy,' I thought. 'She looks annoyed. God I hope I don't lose my job! I need this job.' I started to panic inside.
"I have been calling your name for a minute now while you were staring into space." 'Oh god! She's glaring at me. Not a good sign."
"Sorry Kelly. I didn't mean not to listen. I was just, uh, distracted." I shifted uncomfortably in my chair. Indeed I was sorry and I was distracted. I was thing about a few lines for my new song.
"Yes, I'm aware of that and now if you keep becoming distracted I will have to fire you," Kelly looked at me coldly and then her face softened. "And you know that I don't want to."
"Yes Kelly, I didn't mean it, honestly."
"It's Ok Evangeline. I didn't mean to be harsh." That's what I like about Kelly. She can be strict when she needs to be, otherwise she is really nice, even the kindest person you'd meet.
"I was going to tell you that the other members of the staff have decided to hold a Karaoke Night and Art Exhibition here at the café this Friday night. You can come if you like, you don't have to work. I just thought that you could display a few of your sketches and that you might sing for us. You are really good, Angie."
"That's wonderful! Thank you! Thank you so much Kelly!" I jumped up and gave her a bone-crushing hug.
"Ok, ok. I know that you are excited but if you kill me I can't organise the night."
"Sorry Kelly" I released her quickly and gave her a slight bow, blushing so hard that I looked like a tomato.
"Now get back to work." Kelly said in mock seriousness. I ran back out the front of the café to clean the tables, it wasn't busy but you could never be caught sitting down.
I unlock to door to my apartment after returning home from work. I step inside into the darkness. I could see very well considering it was nearly black in the room. I look around andsurvey the room. Nothing looks out of the ordinary. My red velvet couch was being used as a support for my swords case. I had swords club before work and I didn't have time to put it away before. I kept looking around. Something didn't feel right.
I walked over to my swords case, making no noise what so ever. I took the plain sword out of it carrier and crept towards the kitchen, nothing. The to the second bedroom I was using as a study, I opened the door a little, just enough to look through. Nothing. The next stop the bathroom. I crept over to the next door, again nothing. I left all the previous doors open. The last door leads to my room. I opened the door, again, just enough to peek into. There! Sitting on my bed was a figure. Someone who looked familiar, I just couldn't place them. I wasn't going to take any chances. I raised the blade, and silently took a deep breath and pushed the door open, ran in and was about to strike when they spoke.
"Evangeline!"
Review if you can. Constructive criticism is welcome.
