Nick paced the breakroom waiting for Grissom to come back in. Everything was a big blur now. As soon as Grissom was finished with him he would go to the hospital to see Greg.

"Nick," started Grissom as the older man came in.

"Mhm?"

"I'm not suspending you. That Billy kid isn't going to press charges for 'police brutality'. You're lucky."

"I know. Look, I really gotta go see Greg-"

"Go. Don't be late tomorrow though."

"I won't."

"Oh and...Greg went home. Don't expect to see him at the hospital."

Nick nodded and rushed out of the room.

Nick knocked on the Greg's apartment door and lightly sighed.

"Come in, Nick!" yelled Greg from inside.

Nick smiled and opened the door.

"How'd ya know it was me?"

"I know all."

"I'm sure ya do, buddy."

Nick took a seat by Greg on the couch. "How do you feel?"

"Better...I guess."

"We arrested Billy. You won't have to worry about him anymore. You won't have to worry about any of that nonsense."

"I wish I never had to worry about anything ever again."

"You shouldn't have to. Not unless you completely have to."

"I wanna clear things up. Everything up."

"What do youmean?"

"Remember that old lady at the gas station?"

"Please, not her again."

"Just listen. She told me I had a dark past. She said I was living a double life. The worst was yet to come. Maybe that was Billy."

"I took care of him. What do you mean double life?"

"Oh please, Nick. I've been pretending to be happy for years. Since before I knew you. There's no way you can call it anything, but a double life."

"Greg...it's over. We have him in custody. I'm always going to be here for you. Always. You don't need to worry about anything. What are you going to do about your so-called 'double life'?"

"I'm gonna clear things up...with everyone."

"I'm happy for ya, G. Just know...if you need anything at all..."

"You're here for me. I know. It's over now though, right? Let's not think about it. Forget anything ever happened."

"If it works for you, it works me for me."
