"Come on Anna, zere is nozing more we can do." Kurt stated, kneeling down beside her. "He's gone."
"NO! He can' be gone..." She sobbed. "He jus' can' be."
She continued to cry and grabbed a hold of the dagger and pulled it out roughly. "He jus' can' be..." She whispered. "Can' be..."
It was still after dark but there was a light around them...and a voice deep, warm calling. "Why do you cry?"
"Huh?"
"Why do you cry my child?" The voice asked again.
"He's gone..."
"Only in body, his soul is with you."
"Wha?"
"Place your hands on his wound...his soul is with you. You have the power to give it to him if you choose."
Placing her hands over the wound on his chest, a green light erupted from her hands and Remy's limp body rose from the ground. His eyes opened, retaining their red on black structure, his teeth disappeared, and his body took on the structure of a full human.
"Take care of him child, he is your lost soul."
All Anna could do was nod as his body settled back towards the pavement. "His eyes."
"Will remain that way, for it's your wish." The voice responded. "My work is done."
Blackness surrounded them once more except for one solitary street light that shone on them all. "Is Remy in heaven?"
"No..." She smiled through her tears. "Jus' human."
"Mon amour!"

Three years later...
Living in New York wasn't all that bad, sure it was a bit colder than what they were used to...but it was home nonetheless. Kurt lived down the street with his wife Amanda. They had two children and visited often. Anna never figured she'd see a life like this, the perfect man, her husband, three children, a big house, and no more chores. The last news she'd heard was Erik had divorced Raven, and neither of them had talked to each other since.
"Wut y' t'inkin' 'bout chere?" Remy asked coming up behind her.
"How good life is."
"Remy seconds dat." He kissed her neck. "Time fo' de kids t' come back in, neh?"
"We can let them play fo' a lil' longer." She smirked. " 'sides, it's not every day yah see a sunset like thaht."
"Dat it's not, Anna...dat it's not."

The End...
A/N: Finally, there you go. Sorry it took me so long to get this out and finished. But I just haven't been inspired lately. No writers block, just uninspired to write. I don't even know why that is...but oh well. For some unknown reason I was able to write these chapters in the past couple of days and well, I hope that you enjoy them. There isn't going to be a sequel to this. It's been an awesome ride, I hope you enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed writing.
Happy Reading,
WolvGambit (Le Diable Blanc)
