“Human Change”

Love turns to hate
Violence controls your actions
Trying to deny sight
Shattering glass
Fear-filled run
Tears too strong to fight.

I can’t meet your eyes
As you scowl like a beast
That’s what I thought I was
You were frightened by my change
Wasn’t that what you wanted?
Change has destroyed our love.
