The Scorned
Mind over Matter
The second Shadowcat was knocked to the ground, the small team circled on in. Scarlet Witch led them towards the hovering Magneto. He looked down at them and didn’t seem to care. Instead, he shot up into the sky. Scarlet Witch frowned.
“What the fuck?” she cursed. Polaris stood next to her, the same look of bewilderment upon her face.
“Apocalypse must have something else in mind.” She stated. “It looks like the X-men were trying to destroy this pyramid. We should do the same.”
“I can do it.” Scarlet Witch huffed. She turned around. “X-23, help me. Pyro! I told you to stand over there! I swear to god, you move an inch and Magneto won’t have a chance to kill you!”
“But Oy’m bored. And Oy’m supposed t’ be helpin’ ya.” He complained. She rolled her eyes and stormed towards him. She pointed to the pyramid.
“This is serious, John. I don’t want you anywhere near there.” she hissed.
“Why?” Pyro challenged.
“Cause…you’ll ruin everything. You’ll ruin my concentration! Now stay over here or I will kill you.” She sneered, hexing him backwards. She then turned back to the pyramid. “Lorna, see if the X-men are dead. C’mon X.”
X-23 ran after Scarlet Witch to get closer to the pyramid. The Goth launched her hex bolts as hard as she could towards the bottom of the pyramid, while X-23 unsheathed her claws, ready to try and take it down. She frowned for a moment and turned her attention to Wanda.
“He is your significant other and yet you yell and scream and threaten to kill him. Does this mean that Pietro Maximoff was my significant other even though he kissed that girl? Does that mean he is a cheater? Why do you want to kill Pyro if all he wishes to do is help?” she asked. Scarlet Witch glared at her.
“What do you mean?” she cringed, still maintaining her hold on her powers.
“I used to threaten Pietro Maximoff when he manipulated as Rogue said because he wanted to see you and I think Lorna Dane and I would always tell him I would kill him and we would both yell and he always liked to make me late for lunch and I pushed him into traffic on our last true meeting.” X-23 ranted. Scarlet Witch rolled her eyes.
“Pietro is a manipulative jackass. And I yell at John because he’s being an idiot and won’t stand where I told him to. Now, ya guna help me break this down or what?” Scarlet Witch snapped. X-23 nodded and attempted to slice at the base. A few seconds later, shards of metal started to pour down from the sky, along them came Magneto. He landed right in front of Scarlet Witch and X-23. X-23 held up her claws, but she was immediately thrown back into quite a few trees. Scarlet Witch glared up at her father. His eyes may have been hollow blue, and his skin covered in a sort of telepathic wires, but that didn’t make a difference. He had to pay.
“Monster.” She scowled, hexing him up into the sky. She winced when trying to hold him up. He wasn’t nearly this hard to contain when she fought him for the first time. Something was different about him. She shut her eyes. She had to keep control. She had to beat him. He had to suffer.

“Domino!” Rogue repeated as she watched the girl get smacked across the floor. Rogue instantly ran over to Domino’s side to try and assist her.
“Bout time you guys showed.” She grumbled as Rogue kneeled beside her. Domino rolled her eyes and pulled herself up. Rogue shrugged and stood up as well.
“Are ya okay?” she asked.
“Fine.” Domino muttered quite apathetically. She turned her head towards Nathan and Apocalypse. “Nate’s keepin’ him busy. The X-men were supposed to have some plan. Mystique took em out though since I’m guessing that’s not why it hasn’t been put into play yet.”
“Domino.” Sage uttered as she and Gambit walked over. Domino perked an eyebrow at his presence, but quickly shook it off. She jerked her thumb towards Cable.
“Anyone wana help him?” she questioned. Sage nodded and ran over to help the white haired male. Rogue sighed, figuring they might as well start doing their job. She was relieved to see Domino alive. But she wasn’t so sure if the girl was well. She seemed off, and she hadn’t given one of her usual comments yet. Something was missing. Maybe it had something to do with her killing Vanessa.
“Dom, wait, where th’ hell have you been?” Rogue demanded. She wanted to have a little chat with her runaway friend. Domino looked hard at Rogue, then back at Cable.
“He needs help.” She scowled.
“Ah’m not goin’ anywhere until Ah know what the hell is goin’ on.” Rogue informed her. Domino sighed.
“I’ve been tracking down Apocalypse’s movements with Cable.” She spat back. “And I’m here to fight him. Now, if you’ll excuse me.”
Rogue groaned and allowed Domino to go back and try and fight the ancient mutant. She turned her head back rather quick at the sound of Betsy’s voice omitting from her tech glasses. Gambit turned to her, noticing that she was looking troubled.
“Bets?” Rogue asked.
“Rogue! Get your bloody self back here! I need you here…you have to absorb th’ child!” Psylocke exclaimed.
“What? Why?” Rogue shouted back. She heard a few smacks before Psylocke could get anymore words out.
“I wasn’t listening, I was concentrating. You have to absorb the kid, he is the main part of the, uhh, plan. You have to shut off the energy, and trap Apocalypse. He has to get back into his chamber!” Psylocke continued. A few moments later, there was nothing but static. Rogue’s eyes widened. She must have been knocked out by Mystique. She grabbed onto Gambit’s sleeve. She took off the glasses and placed them in his hands.
“Ah gotta go do something, hold these. Ah’ll be right back. Ah promise.” She insisted.
“I’m goin’ wit you.” He replied.
“Ah need you t’ tell Sage that ya gotta get Apocalypse to power up that little thing he sleeps in. Ah can help us defeat him, but Ah need ya ta just tell her. Okay?” she spoke.
“Y’ guna get yerself killed in dere.” He snapped. She shook her head.
“Ah’ll be fine.” She assured. She teleported away before Gambit could make any more arguments. He sighed and ran to aid the mutants fighting Apocalypse.

Magneto’s feet touched the ground, making Scarlet Witch fall backwards. She gasped and tried to use a hex bolt to hurt him before he could touch her. Nothing came out of her hands. He had drained her. He had actually drained her. Was there a limit to her powers? There couldn’t be. Not now! She needed them to defeat him, to destroy him. She rolled her eyes. She needed Lorna over here. She took a quick glance towards her sister. Of course the girl was staring hard at an unconscious Alex Summers, while Pyro stood behind her, horrified at what he was seeing with Magneto. She shrugged and tried to throw another hex bolt at him. Of course, nothing came out again. She held up her arms to protect herself, but Magneto just raised a heap of metal. Before it could come crashing down on her, she noticed that it began to glow a radiating green. Wanda turned her head again, seeing Polaris using her abilities to warp the metal to make an outfit much similar to Magneto’s. She had the top part anyway, and her cloak drifted to the ground. She shot a blast of green magnetic energy at some defeated sentinels lying around. She hovered towards her fallen teammate and smiled.
“Its okay, Wanda. I can help.” She assured. “Go see if X-23 is alright.”
“No! This is MY fight!” Scarlet Witch yelled as she pulled herself up. She held her fists ready, while Polaris had her powers all juiced up and flowing at him. She whipped a shard of sentinel at him, but he just threw it back at her. It was almost as if they were playing catch. Scarlet Witch rolled her eyes. She needed to rest for a few minutes. She could defeat Magneto, she just needed more time. She twirled around and glared at Pyro once more.
“Go make sure X-23 isn’t unconscious in a heap of sheet metal.” She ordered. He nodded blankly and ran to the younger girl’s aid. Scarlet Witch turned back around, noticing that Magneto and Polaris were still fighting. This time, however, it seemed he was over powering Polaris. She yelped and was knocked back into one of the fallen X-men. Scarlet Witch cursed and stepped back.
“You will not beat us!” she screamed, holding out her hands in a rage. Blue energy swarmed out and smacked Magneto back to the pyramid. She growled and continued on her hold. She was more determined now. She wouldn’t let him hurt her or anyone else ever again. He had to pay; he had to suffer for his actions. He couldn’t go unpunished.
Scarlet Witch began to scream under the strain. She was flung backwards again by his great source of power. She fell onto the ground, ready to pass out. She attempted to lift herself up, but it came to no avail.
“Wanda!” Pyro exclaimed as he approached her. He grabbed her arm and swung her around his shoulder. She looked to him, furious that he had become this close to Magneto. Her head fell for a moment, allowing her tech glasses to tumble to the ground. She shook herself free of fatigue and gained enough strength to look him in the eyes.
“I told you…to stand over…there!” she yelled, hexing him back again. Pyro fell near where Polaris had landed. He watched Scarlet Witch struggle against her father. She would die if it meant that she went out trying to destroy him. His eyes widened and he fixated on her stumbling body. He couldn’t let her do this to herself. He wouldn’t let her kill herself because of her anger. Pyro raced back to her, uncaring to any hex bolts that would get in his way. He picked her up and dragged her out of Magneto’s target range. He gasped as he carried her. She was getting weaker by the second. If she didn’t stop fighting him, she was going to end up like the X-men, or possibly worse.
“Pyro…go stand over there.” she whispered, her sapphire eyes barely opening to stare at him.
“Y’ need help, Wanda.” He shot back. “Oy’m not leavin’ yuh tah die.”
“And I’m not letting Magneto hurt anyone else.” She stated as firmly as she could. She pulled herself together and stood back up. She pushed him back once again and approached Magneto.
“He will not beat me.” She told herself. “He is going to die.”
Magneto noticed her coming back and he raised another sentinel piece. Again, it was stopped by Polaris. He looked to her, noticing that she was lying on the ground, trying to hold control of the metal. He whipped it back at her, but she dodged before it could hurt her. Polaris rolled across the grass, hitting another one of the unconscious mutants along the way. Her eyes closed and she finally passed out, right next to Alex.
“You won’t kill her!” Scarlet Witch roared, trying to build up her strength. She glared at him and attempted to throw another surge of power. This time, barely anything came out.

As Rogue appeared in the front of Apocalypse’s chambers, she was shocked to see Mystique hovering over Psylocke. The telepath had become knocked out of course, and Mystique’s arms had transformed into blades. She looked up at Rogue and jumped away from Psylocke. She held up her arms in a threatening matter. Rogue swallowed hard. She could finally give Mystique what she had coming to her for so long. She shook her head for a moment, remembering what Betsy had said. But, she wanted to fight Mystique first. She had to beat her first. Then she could absorb the kid and save everyone.
“Ya look different.” Rogue commented. She tore off both of her gloves and hovered into the air. “And so am Ah, Mystique.”
Of course Mystique said nothing to her daughter’s words. Rogue smirked and raced at her, fists wailing. She smacked Mystique back as hard as she could. She then sped to her backside and tried to punch her into the ground. Her hand went right through her body. Rogue’s eyes widened. She hadn’t even called upon Kitty’s intangibility. She was not expecting something like that to happen.
As Rogue tried to figure out exactly how Mystique was able to do something so different, she was pushed back by one of Mystique’s bladed arms. Rogue winced as she slid across the floor, slamming into Cyclops. She cringed and touched his face. She shot out a blast of his powerful optic beams at Mystique, but they just passed right through her as well. Rogue rolled her eyes, hoping she could find away to actually fight the woman. Brutal force wouldn’t work, and neither would energy based powers. She had to absorb that kid before she could actually defeat Mystique. Once that was done, there would have to be an opening to destroying the horsemen of Apocalypse. This child had to hold a very powerful ability.
Rogue scanned the room for the child, but before she could resume action, Mystique slammed her into the floor. Rogue groaned as she was pulled back. She could hear Mystique’s blades ready to cut her throat. Rogue shut her eyes and tried to call back any power she had every absorbed before. She couldn’t teleport. It would just bring Mystique with her. Going intangible wouldn’t make sense either. They would just be going back and fourth with that one. Rogue bit her lip and called upon Sage’s psyche. She tried to analyze her situation as quickly as possible.
Rogue pushed her hands against Mystique, barely absorbing her along the way. She grimaced and chose to use Mystique’s powers against her. When Mystique was finally away from her, Rogue shaped into her mother and glared at her.
“Remember this?” she sneered, charging at Mystique. The battle was getting lighter now, though it wasn’t easy.
Mystique used her bladed arms to try and stab Rogue. It touched her stomach for a minute, but she turned intangible before it could do anymore harm. Mystique pulled back. She then shaped into a dozen bats and started to swarm Rogue. Rogue yelped as the bats tackled her. Her shape resumed and she tumbled to the ground. The bats were horrible. They kept on biting, and trying to cut her.
“Get away from her!” she heard Gambit yell. A few cards flew towards Rogue and the bats, causing a small explosion to separate them. Rogue rolled across the cold floor and sneered at him for trying to help. He pulled her up by her covered arm.
“Ah thought Ah told ya—“she began.
“Remember how I never listen ta ya?” he grinned. Rogue rolled her eyes and created a weak telekinetic bubble around them.
“Ah need to get to th’ kid. Can you distract her?” she asked.
“Well, I’m sure if I start doin’ dat, she might get a little crush on me Roguey.” He teased. She rolled her eyes.
“Ah’m sure she would, being that she’s a psychopath slave of Apocalypse, she’d jump at the chance to go on a date with you.” She grunted, putting her hand on his shoulder.
“Ah’m bein’ serious. Ah have to absorb that kid. Can ya hold her off while Ah try and get to him?” she questioned weakly. Mystique had resumed her form and was attempting to crack the shield surrounding them.
“Won’t she jus follow you?” he pointed out. Rogue shook her head.
“No, she doesn’t know the plan. As long as ya keep her distracted. Ah have to, Gambit.” she insisted. The Cajun sighed and gave her a nod.
“Be careful.” He whispered. He pulled up his trench coat to cover his hand. He grabbed onto Rogue’s, making sure their skin didn’t touch. He squeezed it tightly, his actions being louder than his words. Rogue bit her lip and let go of the telekinesis. She ran towards Dorian, while Gambit began to fend off Mystique.

Scarlet Witch raised her arms the best she could. She couldn’t fight anymore. Magneto was actually beating her. This was impossible. She was supposed to be beating him, destroying him. She was supposed to help the world get rid of one of the biggest monsters it had spit out. Instead, she lay back on the ground while he approached her. It wasn’t like she could ask for help, either. X-23 was still knocked out due to the force of Magneto’s powers, and even if she wasn’t, his magnetic fields must have been holding her back. Polaris couldn’t help either. She was more drained than Wanda was, and she had passed out not too long ago. Then there was Pyro. Every time he got close to helping her, she kept hexing him with what little power she had. She wasn’t going to let Magneto hurt him too.
She glanced up and noticed a stream of fire and a loud cackle blast Magneto back. It barely did anything, but at least it saved her from being ripped apart. She rolled her eyes. He wasn’t going to listen to her at all.
Scarlet Witch tried to move, but she felt him help her on her feet instead. She winced at him. Her body wanted to just fall over and sleep for a long while. However, her mind wouldn’t let that happen. She wasn’t going to fall so easily.
“You’re killin’ yerself.” He told her.
“Get away from me.” She snapped. She tried to push him back but did not succeed. Before she could say anything else to him, Magneto returned, levitating towards the both of them. Pyro’s eyes widened as Magneto raised his hand and pulled away his flame thrower. He held it up into the sky and squished it with his abilities.
“MOY BABY!” Pyro exclaimed, almost letting Scarlet Witch fall. She groaned. Now they were really screwed. He pulled her back as Magneto drew even closer. He levitated over another shard of broken sentinel and made it hover over the both of them. Pyro shut his eyes and wrapped his arms tightly around his girlfriend. Right before it could smash them into the ground, they were pushed out of the way rather quickly. The force separated their hug and they tumbled apart.
Scarlet Witch looked up to see her twin standing there. He had saved them. Her sapphire eyes grew with confusion. What did he just do? After all he had done with Magneto, and allowing her memories to be manipulated, he just saved her life. He didn’t want her to die. He was actually going against Magneto’s wishes.
“Pietro?” she squinted, managing to get up. She noticed the other Brotherhood members nearing her as well. Toad came hoping along, beaming with happiness to see her. He jumped onto her and gave her a tight hug. She groaned and pushed him off with what strength she had left. The second he was off her, Pyro resumed his position next to her. He was almost gloating that he could touch her without being thrown away. Toad gave the Aussie a hard stare before anything solid could be said.
“Hey sis. We knew you’d be here.” He said warmly. Scarlet Witch perked an eyebrow. She looked to Magneto who seemed to be uncaring about their presence now that they were not trying to attack him or the pyramid.
“Why did you come?” she frowned.
“Lance wanted to see Kitty and we knew you’d be here. A chance to smack down Magneto. Of course you’d be here.” Quicksilver sighed. “Need some help?”
“No.” she snapped.
“She’s been sayin’ that all day, Mate.” Pyro spoke up. Scarlet Witch elbowed him.
“I told you to stand over there.” she repeated. He smirked and pulled her closer so she could rest on his shoulders. While the Maximoff twins conversed, Avalanche noticed Shadowcat lying on the ground. He ran over to her, hoping she was alright.
“How did you even get here?” Wanda continued.
“We stole a jet, got lost and still managed to get here. We knew you’d be glad to see us, babycakes.” Toad smiled. Scarlet Witch shook her head in disgust. She pulled away from Pyro and started to stalk back to Magneto. Pyro stared. She wasn’t going to give up until she was dead.
Scarlet Witch raised one hand and allowed another hex bolt swarm over around Magneto. He turned his head, racing at her. Pyro quickly ran to her aid, but was smacked back by the force of her growing hex bolt. Magneto started to fly faster, allowing himself to be rid of her powers. He approached Pyro and held out his hand.
“NO!” Scarlet Witch screamed, running in front of Pyro. She was then smacked with a huge magnetic force, making her slam down into the grass. Her eyes closed immediately. Pyro gasped and ran over to her. He cradled her into his arms and glared up at Magneto, just wishing he could find any source of fire to burn the man to a crisp.
A snarl omitting from the forest caused the Brotherhood and Pyro to turn their heads. X-23 charged out, all of her claws emerged. Her eyes had become a pure red. Polaris lifted her head up a little, taking notice of what was going on. She raised her hands and flung X-23 towards Magneto. It knocked off his helmet and he fell back even further than he had before. X-23 kept on trying to destroy him in a blind fury. When Magneto finally gained composure, he pushed her into Quicksilver. The two mutants fell into a tree with a thud. She glared at him, her eyes turning back to their normal green.
“Pietro Maximoff, you are a manipulator.” She growled, holding her claws at her throat. “I am not to be used!”
“What?” he croaked. She rolled her eyes and retracted her claws.
“I can kiss boys just like you can kiss girls!” She sneered. Quicksilver perked an eyebrow, unaware of what she was trying to say. X-23 huffed and got off of him. She approached her fallen team members. “Everything is upside down here, but she does not smell like death.”
“She’ll be fine.” Quicksilver gritted between his teeth. “Avalanche, take him down.”
Avalanche growled from where he had been kneeling and punched the ground. As his powers flowed throughout the area, the shattering earth began to circle around Magneto. It was enough to jolt Shadowcat from her slumber.

Rogue called upon Pietro’s super speed to guide her way to Dorian. When she reached him, she kneeled down to his body. He and the X-men were still out of it from Psylocke’s telepathic blast. She flinched, not wanting to absorb him. He was just a kid. He was an unconscious kid. It didn’t seem right. She rolled her eyes at her small worries and touched his face. She winced and pulled back. She could feel his strange power flowing inside her. His memories showed her that the X-men had been so desperate. If she never would have left them, they wouldn’t have had to endanger this poor kid.
Rogue shook her head and stood up. She noticed Gambit being slammed into the ground. He had his Bo staff up to try and keep Mystique leveled, but it wasn’t doing him much good. Rogue smiled and waved her hand at them, taking away the energy of their powers. She nodded at him and continued on her way.
She ran back into Apocalypse’s main chamber. Her eyes widened. Domino was lying against the wall and Sage wasn’t too far from her. Cable had even been thrown across the room. Rogue watched as Apocalypse approached his vessel and lay inside. Rogue pulled up Jean’s telepathic powers and told Domino to get everyone out of there. Domino weakly looked up at her and nodded. Soon enough, only Rogue and Apocalypse were within the chamber. She watched him lay there, so oblivious to her presence. No, he wasn’t oblivious, he just didn’t care. He didn’t think she could stop him. His ego told him that she was just a mere girl trying to act more powerful than she was. He was probably smiling while he lay there. He didn’t have a care in the world.
Rogue shut her eyes and tried to gain a motivation before using Dorian’s powers. She made a fist, remembering how she was tricked into releasing him from his chamber. She growled and approached the vessel. She raised her arms in the air and allowed a backlash of energy drain to swim around the entire room.
She then ran up closer to the vessel and started to close the open shards. As she ran around closing them, Apocalypse grabbed her arm. Rogue yelped. He was so big, so threatening. She shook her head and phased her arm out of his grasp. She then ran and pushed all of the other shards closed. She stepped back, unaware to what was happening.
“ROGUE! Turn the power back on!” a gruff voice yelled. Rogue gasped as Wolverine ran into the room and jumped onto the vessel. She nodded and raised her arms again. Wolverine then got off of the vessel and slashed the imprint for a hand with his claws. He sped at her and grabbed onto her wrist. Apocalypse’s vessel was starting to glow and shake. He pulled her out to the front of the chamber. Finally, the vessel disappeared, making Rogue stare widely at Wolverine.

Pyro continued to hold Scarlet Witch close as the Brotherhood members approached the still hovering Magneto. As Avalanche was about to send another tremor towards him, the telepathic wires on Magneto’s face removed themselves and he slammed into the ground.
“Wanda, Oy think he’s dead.” Pyro whispered, to try and get her to wake up. Her eyes slowly opened to meet with his.
“Did I get him?” she uttered.
“Oy think so.” He grinned. “But, Oy think Oy liked the one on the news much better, Sheila.”
“My name’s Wanda.” She sighed allowing herself to sit up. She noticed that a few of the X-men were already sitting up a little bit. Polaris was still lying next to Alex, while X-23 had her claws towards Magneto’s face. If he was supposed to be dead, why didn’t see feel full of light? Why didn’t this weigh out her years at the asylum, and her memories getting warped? Why didn’t it fix the pain she felt, the anger she had for so long?
“He’s still alive!” Quicksilver called as he kneeled next to X-23. Scarlet Witch jolted up at those words and weakly made her way over to Magneto. He seemed to be waking up. His eyes flashed open and he stared up at his children, and at X-23. X-23 scowled and removed her claws from his face.
Polaris groggily tried to stand up. She was weak, but she could walk. She smiled. It was over. They had won. Maybe Sage or Psylocke had done something to stop Apocalypse. Hell, Cable could have gotten there in time too.
“Lorna.” Alex began as he stood up beside her. She glared at him.
“Alex.”
“I’m glad you’re here.” He grinned, taking her hand in his own. She pulled back.
“You have a child, a wife to be, Alex. Inviting me to your wedding was a stupid idea, just like trying to hold my hand. I hate you for it and I hate you for treating me so badly. Don’t think it will go all away because you smiled at me. It might have awhile back, but not anymore. I’m not some girl you can push over so many times and I’ll still be there smiling like an idiot. I’m Magneto’s daughter. I’m one of his daughters, and I don’t take crap from people like you.” She snapped. She tucked her hair behind her ear and walked over to her siblings. She leaned on Wanda and gave her a small smile. Scarlet Witch just nodded.
“Wanda, Pietro.” Magneto started. Scarlet Witch glared at him.
“I have my memories back.” She sneered. “I could kill you right now; you’re weaker than I am. I won’t kill you though, because it won’t solve anything. I know that now. Instead, I’ll do something much worse. I’ll let you live with what you did. Same with you Pietro. I’m still mad at you.”
Magneto frowned as Quicksilver helped him up. He gave an odd look to Polaris and what she was wearing. The girl grimaced and took off the helmet. She handed it to him.
“This is more you, Magneto. Sorry, I can’t talk long. My sister and I have to go home.” She told them. Polaris and Scarlet Witch then walked back over to X-23 and Pyro. X-23 gave Quicksilver one final look before the four disappeared into the forest.

“Logan?” Rogue asked.
“Hey kid, good to see you’re still on the good side.” He smiled at her. She gave a nod and turned to look where Apocalypse’s vessel had been.
“Do you think he’s gone forever?”
“He probably just fell through the cracks of time.” He assured her. Rogue shook her head.
“Ah don’t think anyone’s that lucky.” She admitted quietly. The two then ventured out of the chamber. Rogue saw Gambit sitting next to Mystique. She smirked and ran at him. He gave her a deep embrace, causing Wolverine to give them both a rather strange look.
The other X-men members and the members of The Scorned all seemed to be collecting themselves. Rogue bit her lip and walked over to Nightcrawler. She held out her hand to help him up.
“Rogue.” He greeted.
“Hey Kurt. Good job ya guys did. Ya saved th’ world.” She told him. She then turned around to go back with her teammates. Before she could get too far, Mystique tried to reach out to her, and to Nightcrawler. Rogue growled and began teleporting her teammates back to their stolen jet, while Kurt just ignored her.

A few hours later, the team had finally gotten to Mexico to pick up the rest of their members. Most were surprised to see Domino, and to find out that Rogue was the one who saved everyone.
When everyone was seated in the jet, Sage took a leaned against the pilot’s chair. She even let a smile come across her face. Her girls were heroes. She was a hero.
“Sage, we’re guna need a bigger house, Luv.” Psylocke smirked, gesturing to Pyro and Gambit. Sage shook her head.
“Let’s just go home, Betsy. It’s finally over.”
