Author's Notes: I am a big fan of the show, The Sopranos. Personally, I did not like the way they ended Season 3 with Jackie Aprile Jr. getting gunned down. So I decided to write my own version of the last episode of season 3. I may continue with a fan fic of season four. Note that there is foul language in this fic that simply appearsin an attempt to futher authenticate the fic to it's show. Please note that this is completely fiction and something I made up. All the characters from the HBO show, "The Sopranos" are copywritten to Home Box Office Inc. All rights Reserved.

Season 3: Episode 13 Intervention

"Hey Ton, I've had it up to here with your cousin, Chrissie, that little cocksucker is always forgetting his place, and not just that, he's been late with his payments to me." Paulie said to Tony as we walked across the Bada Bing office.

"So, what the fuck are you tell me this shit for. Chris works for you, he's your fucking responsibility. Like I don't have enough shit going on I gotta hear you bust my balls."

"Sorry T, it's not like I haven't talked to Chrissie. I just thought I come talk to you before I spilt his fucking head open." Paulie said picking up a glass of scotch.

"Look…"Tony rolled his eyes and exhaled, "I'll talk to Christopher. Give him a couple days. I'll compensate the interest."

The phone on Tony's desk started to ring. He leaned forward and grabbed the receiver, bringing it to his ear.

"Hello." Tony said into the phone.

"Tony…It's Jackie." Jackie Jr. said in a somewhat shaky voice.

"Jackie, where the fuck are you? Your mother has been worried sick about you!"

"I really fucked up Tony! I really fucked up!" Jackie yelled, obviously terrified.

"Don't fucking go into detail on here. Where are you?" Tony asked grabbing a pen.

"I'm in the fucking projects. I've been in fucking hiding."

"What's the address, I'll come and pick you up." Tony asked and then started writing the address on his hand.

"Okay, you stay the fuck where you are until I get there." Tony yelled before slamming the phone down into the cradle.

"Fuck!" Tony shouted as he grabbed his coat off the rack.

"What's up, Ton?" Silvio asked watching Tony quickly don his leather coat.

"What else, shit I fucking don't need!" Tony said before walking out of the office.

"Chrissie, what do you think about this dress? I like it better than the other one we say at that bridal shop downtown." Adrianna said showing Christopher a wedding dress catalogue as they sat on their couch.

"Who the fuck cares, they all look the same. My fucking problem is how I gonna pay for it, Adriana! That fucking Paulie's been busting my balls for his payments. He's been making a fool of me in front of all the other guys and I'm fucking sick of it!" Christopher said getting up from the couch.

"Fuck Christopher, why can't we have one night where we can enjoy being together, enjoy planning our wedding! I'm sorry Paulie's been giving you a hard time." Adrianna got up from the couch too.

"Hard time? Ade, that cocksucker has been making my life miserable since the first day I started working for him!"

"Chrissie, calm down baby. It's going to be okay. It'll all work out. I love you baby." Adrianna said taking Christopher into her arms.

Chris gave Adrianna a weak smile followed by a kiss. He grabbed his cigarette carton from the coffee table as his beeper went off.

"Fuck, that's probably that piece of shit now." Christopher said grabbing his beeper from his back pocket.

"Shit, I gotta go. I'll be back later tonight." Chris said grabbing his keys and watch off of the coffee table before leaving.

"What the fuck took you so long to call me?" Tony asked Christopher who was now at a pay phone.

"I'm sorry-"

"Save it. I need you to do something for me."

"Shoot."

"I need you to find out who was trying to clip Jackie Jr. And when you're done doing that, I need to talk to you about something else."

"What T?"

"Don't fucking worry about that now, just do what I told you!"

"Yeah, okay, I'll head downtown now."

"Good…" Tony said before ending the call on his cell.

Jackie Jr. sat in the passenger seat of Tony's SUV.

"Thanks for coming to get me-"

"What the fuck were you doing in the ghetto! What'd you do now? Didn't I tell you about staying out of trouble, huh?"

"I'm sorry, Ton. My guys and I got in a little over our heads."

"You're God damn right you did! When someone's trying to put a fucking bullet in your head it's safe to say you went too far! I don't even wanna know what you did! I obviously have to keep a closer eye on you! I'm going to have one of my guys follow you around making sure you stay out of trouble! Cus you can't fucking do that yourself!" Tony exhaled, trying to regain his composure. "I talked to Meadow yesterday, she says you guys broke up. She was real upset about it too." Tony said looking over at Jackie who refused to make eye contact with him.

"It was a mistake, Tony. Just a big mistake. I love Meadow." Jackie said putting his hands to his face, massaging his eyelids with his thumps.

"Meadow's a big girl now, she can make her own decisions, but if it were up to me. You would be history. No second chances. Call your mother." Tony said throwing his cell phone into Jackie's lap.

Jackie shook his head before dialing Rosalie Aprile's phone number into the cellular phone. He we short and to the point. He told his mother that he would be home soon and that he was safe.

"You're going back to school. I don't care what the fuck you want to study but you're going back." Tony said once Jackie ended the call to her mother.

Tony drove Jackie back to his mother's house. The stopped in front of the house, still on the street.

"Thanks Tony." Jackie muttered and started to get out of the car.

"Hey, come here." Tony said pulling Jackie back into a hug. "I promised your father that I would take care of you."

"I know, Tony. I'm going to straighten up my act. I'll prove it to you…and I'm going to be true to Meadow…That was the biggest mistake I made." Jackie said after pulling away from the hug.

"Yeah…tell your mom I said hi." Tony said as Jackie got out of the car.

Tony watched Jackie make his way across the front yard and into the front door of the house before he picked up his cell and began to dial.

"You got anything yet?" Tony asked his cousin Christopher.

"Word on the street is this was going to be a planned hit. Definitely not mulinyan drug dealing shit. You want me to investigate further?" Christopher asked.

"No, I've got a new job for you anyway. I want to you to keep an eye on Jackie Jr. Make sure he's keeping on the straight and narrow."

"What am I a fucking babysitter now?" Chris asked.

"Excuse me? You wanna repeat that?"

"Ton, I'm a made guy. This babysitting shit's for some lacky."

"You've got a lot of balls talking to be talking about what you should be doing. I talked to Paulie today. He's says you've been short on your payments. Get your act together or Paulie's going to kick your ass and I won't be able to side with you."

"How am I suppose to make Paulie's money if I have to be watching the fucking Fresh Prince of New Jersey?" Christopher asked.

"That's your problem, not mine. Just do what your told." Tony said.

Tony ended his call with Christopher and then dialed again.

"Sil, I need you to go downtown for me. I've got something I need taken care of."

Meadow Soprano sat on the single bed in her dorm room. Her English lit book lay open in her lap. She had a hard time even opening a school book after her and Jackie split up. She couldn't stop thinking about him. First Noah, and now Jackie. She began to think that she had no luck with men. Hopefully English Lit could help her escape the constant thought of catching Jackie with another woman.

The phone rang causing Meadow to jump back to reality. She slowly leaned over to grab the phone from it's cradle.

"Hello." She said putting the phone to her ear.

"Meadow…Look don't hang up. I know you have every right to hate me. It was all a mistake." Jackie said quickly.

"I don't want to talk to you, Jackie." Meadow said, the tears beginning to flow.

"I know, Mead." Jackie began. "Cheating on you was the biggest mistake of my life. I'd do anything to take it back."

"It's too late for that, Jackie." Meadow said before hanging up the phone. She laid back down in her bed pulling the covers over her body, she cried into her pillow.

Jackie heard the click on the phone and quickly ended his cell call. He had really fucked up. He lost the one good thing in his life…Meadow. Jackie had been in love with Meadow since they were kids. Their fathers were best friends so they often saw each other from year to year.

"Jackie…Honey, you okay?" Rosalie asked her son, seeing him with that far way look in his eye as he gazed out the window of the kitchen.

"I really blew it, Mom." Jackie said looking down at the kitchen sink.

Rosalie said nothing as she walked over to her son and pulled him in for a hug.

"Don't worry baby, Meadow will calm down. Just give her some time. You two will work it out." Rosalie whispered into her son's ear.

"I gotta go, Mom." Jackie said, quickly giving his mother a peck on the cheek before walking out the front door.

Christopher watched Jackie emerge from his home. Chris sat in his black Land Rover that was parked three houses down the street from the Aprile's.

Chris put his car into drive and followed Jackie Jr. who go into his car and sped off.

"What's for dinner." Tony asked Carmella as we walked into the kitchen.

Carmella looked up from what she was cooking.

"Where have you been? You were suppose to come with me to the meeting with A.J.'s school councilor about his transcript." She said.

"I forgot…Sorry." Tony said casually before walking into the den and plopping down into his leather recliner.

"We're going to be sorry when Anthony Jr. can't get into a good college. I can't do everything by myself, Tony." Carmella said opening the frig and getting out ingredients.

"I don't wanna fucking here it." Tony said flipping on the television.

"Right, let's just bury our heads in the sand."

"Jesus Christ, do you always have to nag? That's the first thing I hear when I walk into this house."

"A.J., where do you think you're going?" Carmella asked spotting her son making a break for the garage door from the stairs.

"I'm going out with the guys." A.J. said.

"Oh no you're not. You're staying right here and having dinner with your family." Tony said to his son, shaking the TV remote.

"Jesus…" A.J. said, rolling his eyes before plopping down on the couch.

Tony's cell began to ring.

"Hello?" He said standing up. He quickly walked to the backdoor and exited to the back deck.

"Any new developments from downtown?" Tony asked Silvio.

"I found out it was Vito that was going to make the hit on Jackie Jr." Sil explained.

"Jesus Christ, Vito works for Ralphie…That cocksucker." Tony said.

"Just tell me what you want me to do, T." Silvio said.

Tony held the cell phone at his side, he looked up at the sky and exhaled before bring it back to his ear.

"I want Ralphie taken care of." Tony ordered.

"It will be done." Silvio answered.

Ralph Ciperalli sat in the Bada Bing office playing cards with Paulie.

"I am a Roman soldier! I've come to free my people!" Ralph yelled in his best theatrical voice.

"If I have to hear one more quote from that fucking Gladiator movie, I'm shoving that fucking cigar you have in your hand up your ass." Paulie said laying two cards down on the table. His cell rang and he reach into his pocket to grab it.

"Hello." Paulie said into the cell. He didn't say a word. Ralph watched Paulie's face as the other person on the line seemed to do all the talking.

"Tell T it's taken care of." Paulie finally said, ending the call.

"What the fuck was that about?" Ralphie asked taking a sip of scotch.

Before Ralph had time to react Paulie pulled out his gun and shot him in the head. The force of the shot knocked Ralph backwards and out of his chair. Paulie fired three more times into the motionless body before dialing on his cell.

"It's done."
