As his hand felt around the polyestor material, he started twitch. Before he knew it aheavy, blackgun was pulled into the public's pressence. He had never handled a gun before; that was what worried him the most. That was also what worried Greg the most.Well, other than the fact the masked man now had Greg at gunpoint.
"Look guy, put the gun down or I'll blow your friend's head off," the man said with a twisted smile.
Greg looked down. Nothing good could come from this.
"Hey now... I'll-I'll shoot you right frigging now," Hodges cried without confidence.
"Everyone should just put their guns down. Alright? Then we can work things out. And everything will be better. As long as no one else gets hurts."
Too late. Greg had pulled the trigger. Well, the masked man had at least. Which left Greg screaming in agony on the floor from the gunshot that penetrated his arm. So much for trying to work things out.
Greg glanced to the side. His phone was going off uncontrollably. With a quick hand movement (not the hurt arm), he opened the phone. Answering whoever called. Although he wouldn't be able to talk, they would hear what was going on. Which was forceful yelling between the masked guy and Hodges. Greg looked at Misty. He slid back to face her.
"Are you alright?" she asked.
"Not gonna lie-it hurts like a bitch. But I'll make it. Heh. I think. This sucks, I'm sorry you had to be here for this. Not what you expected, huh?"
"Well, I mean, things could be worse. We could already be dead. We might make it through."
Greg smiled.
"Welcome to Las Vegas."
"Hey you!" yelled the masked guy. "How the hell did you get over there? Are you asking to die first?"
Greg shifted uncomfortably.
"I-I-"
"Uhhuh... come here."
