Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! I know, other stories, but I have to do this oneshot. I got the idea in English and the little lightbulb thingy came on and I said Urueka! I was doing some Quote thingy and I saw one by Edgar Allen Poe. First thing I thought was that dude was so cool! He slept on his wife's grave… DING! Ta-Da! I have it! This whole thing was bugging me all day, so, here I go! (I say this at the risk of being like one of those annoying Sylphs that say it when Sheena summons them) This does not hook up with anything as of YET (hint, hint) This has got major spoilers, so if you haven't finished the game yet do not read this. I alter the storyline just a bit here. This happens CONVENIENTLY after Altessa'a house. Oh, and Altessa doesn't get hurt, his house gets destroyed so they go and stay at Dirk's for a night. CONVENIENT, don't cha think? So, this is Kranna (DUH) and father-son stuff. You have read my warnings, do not incestitize this! (I know I made that word up, but just go with it, please, for me.) Now, Disclaimer!

Disclaimer: I don't own Tales of Symphonia or any of its characters. Nor do I own the poem, "Annabell Lee" by Edgar Allen Poe.

Lloyd couldn't sleep. Even though he was at home again, his thought wouldn't take a rest. The man that betrayed them…was his father. He just couldn't get the shock out of his mind. Last night events replayed in his mind over and over again. (A/N: I could probably do a flashback right now, but you all know what happened, and I don't want to bore you.)

He got up from his bed, and contemplated going to Colette for advice. She was always good for this sort of thing. But she was sleeping and he didn't want to wake her up. He wondered what he was going to do.

Then, from outside, he heard footsteps and Noishe whining. Somebody was out there. He silently descended the steps and silently opened the door. The noise was coming from his mother's grave. He sneaked a peak around the corner and what he saw made his throat constrict. It was…Kratos? A single rose was in his hand and he laid it silently on his mother's gravestone. He bent down and ran his fingers down the stone and said, " Anna, my beloved, how I wish I could hold you again, just for a minute." He lay down on her grave and said, " You were always so full of life, and I killed you, with my own hands. You would be yelling at me if you were still alive. You would say that I shouldn't blame myself and you told me to kill you. But I can still feel your pain, the weight of your body on my sword. The blood, your blood, all over me. It haunts me even now. "

It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of ANNABEL LEE;--
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.

He stopped for a moment, them continued. " You were never sickened by what I was," His wing shot out of his back, they flapped sadly, if reflecting their owners thoughts," you always said that it was a gift, and if I hadn't lived that long, I would have never met you. But I always thought of it as a curse, not being able to feel your warmth, to feel your lips on mine. I wish that I had never accepted the offer that Mithos held out to me. I am more than human, but less also. I am a monster, no matter what form I take. An angel, a human, a mercenary. I can feel the weight of all the lives I have taken on my shoulders, including yours, my love."

She was a child and I was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea,
But we loved with a love that was more than love--
I and my Annabel Lee--
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me.

" I… left. I've left Mithos and I'm not going back. I am going to release the seal on Origin, ending my life. You may call it suicide, but it's so Lloyd can use the Eternal Sword."

And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud by night
Chilling my Annabel Lee;
So that her high-born kinsman came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.

" Lloyd. My…son. I would die a thousand times for you. I shielded you from that blast, and it hurt, but what hurt more was the look of horror on your face when you were told that I was your father. It tore my heart into a million pieces. I know I should have told you before but I was afraid. Afraid of what you would think, so I ran. I ran away from all of it. My humanity, my life, my fate, my duties as a father. I wonder how long I can keep running? I wish I could go see you Lloyd, but I am scared of what you will do. Running away again, I guess. It took me over four thousand years to realize that I'm a coward. I know that by dieing, I am at least facing up to my destiny. I can tell that it is my fate to die. Maybe I shall see you again, beloved. I highly doubt that, though. You most certainly went to heaven, for my sins I know I shall go to hell. If you are up there, my love, watch over me tonight. Let me sleep, for the first time in four thousand years, for it is the last time I shall sleep, for I shall be dead tomorrow."

The angels, not half so happy in Heaven,
Went envying her and me:--
Yes! that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of a cloud, chilling
And killing my Annabel Lee.

Lloyd couldn't stop himself. The next thing he knew he was lying next to his father, head in his chest and his father was gently stroking his hair. He whispered, feather light in the silence, " Don't die, Kratos, don't die."

But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we--
Of many far wiser than we-
And neither the angels in Heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee:--

" For you, I won't, my son." Lloyd felt Kratos' arms encircle him and heard the gentle humming of his wings. For that moment in time, he felt like a three-year-old in his father's embrace. Then, he fell asleep.

--

Lloyd woke up with the morning sun. He wondered if that whole thing was a dream that he had. Then, he looked at his surroundings. He was on his mother's grave. Next to him was a note and a locket. The note read:

Lloyd,

I wish I had been there for you for all those years that have passed since your mother died. I hope this locket and last night will show you that I still care for you, deeply. I love you Lloyd and nothing will ever change that. I will not die when I release the seal, I am sure of it. I have something to live for now. But, before you can make a pact with Origin, you must defeat Mithos, for the world will never be at peace if you do not.

Kratos

He picked up the locket and opened it. In it was a picture of Kratos, his mom, and…him? It was him when he was little. They all looked so happy together. He closed the locket and slung it around his neck, picked up the note, and stood up to go wake up his friends. There was Cruxis butt to kick.

For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise but I see the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling, my darling, my life and my bride,
In her sepulchre there by the sea--
In her tomb by the side of the sea.

How was that? I know, sorta bad, but I like it! Please review!
