Hi! I know about everything else but this is a sub-story of the From the Sky universe. This happens in NYC and I'm dedicating this to Kiran. We thought it up when we were bored in school. Somebody kills Kiran's pet cricket (who you'll just have to find out) and the cricket police come and arrest him (clue!) and they go to trial. This is a one-shot, and it's gonna be a long one. Also it is random insanity.

" Cricket, cricket." The sound of a cricket came from a patch of grass near where they were standing. Kiran ran over and caught the cricket. She proclaimed to everybody, " You are my cricket and I shall name you Squishey and we shall annoy people (cough Yuan cough) together!" She ran over and poked Yuan. Squishey cricketed. Martel started laughing.

Squishey jumped down from Kiran's hand and started hopping around, laughing. That was when he was squished…by Yuan. Everybody looked and Amanda said, " Well, now he really is Squishey."

Kiran yelled, " NOO! You killed Squishey!" Silence. Then, a siren. A tiny ambulance came and stopped right at the " Scene of the Crime" and two little crickets nurses came out and checked his pulse. The first one said, amazingly in human speech, " He's dead!" The second one said, " Call the police!" Then, as if on cue, not one, not two, but three cricket police cars pulled up with the standard logo and the letters NYCCPD, (New York City Cricket Police Department) this being the most heinous crime committed against cricket-kind in about fifty years. The crickets stepped out of their cars and the leader (obviously) yelled, " Read him his rights!"

One of the crickets stepped up and said, " You have the right to not cricket. If you cricket, anything you say can and will be used against you in a cricket court of law. You have the right to a cricket lawyer and if you cannot afford one we will appoint one for you." Then they tried to cuff him. By this time Kiran was in tears, Anna and Amanda were laughing hard, and Martel, Kratos, Sheena, and Lloyd were wondering what was happening.

" What the hell is all this?" Sheena said.

" Miranda Rights, cricket style!" Amanda managed to squeeze out before she started laughing again.

" I'm just waiting for one to flash a FBI badge." Anna said.

" Um, sir, we have a problem. The cuffs are too small." The cricket police officer showed the tiny cuffs to his superior. The lead officer then said into his radio " Houston, we have a problem. The cuffs are too small. Send in the Cricket SWAT Team." A voice crackled back, " Roger, chief. Also, the leader of the Cricket FBI is on his way up there. Do not detain for questioning. Take him and the witnesses straight to cricket court, this being the most heinous crime to happen in fifty years." " Roger!"

Yuan made a face and said, " Cricket…SWAT Team?" Anna and Amanda were now rolling on the ground and laughing their heads off. Then, little cricket helicopters came flying in and the sides opened. The Cricket SWAT Team came down on ropes, yelling, " HUT, HUT!" They threw a net over Yuan's head and said, " Now, let's go to the cricket courthouse."

At the courthouse, they were all seated and Amanda whispered, " Where's Kiran and Anna?" Yuan was seated at the defendant's table as the cricket jury hopped in. The bailiff then started his speech, " This being the most heinous crime to happen to cricket-kind in about fifty years we have presiding the honorable Judge Loudcricket. All rise for the honorable Judge." Everybody got up as Judge Iam A. Loudcricket hopped into the room. He wore a black cloak and a powder white wig. He hopped to his desk and nodded to the bailiff. Everyone sat down. The bailiff started again. " The lawyer for the persecution is none other that the honorable Kiran Leer." Kiran walked in from the right. Amanda, Kratos, Martel, Sheena, Lloyd, and even Yuan gaped. " And since the defendant has yet to hire a lawyer, the judge has appointed the respectable Anna Audinale as the lawyer for the defense." Anna walked in and the mouths dropped ever further. The bailiff stopped talking and bowed out to the judge. " Persecution, you shall go first. Call your first witness."

Anna sat down on the surface of the defense's table and crossed her legs. Kiran stood in the front and said, " I call Squishey's sister to the stand." A cricket from the bench hopped up to the witness stand and the bailiff held out the cricket bible. " You promise to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?" The cricket nodded. Kiran walked up to the stand and started, " Now, tell us about your brother."

" He was nice and he would never do anything to anyone." She burst into tears. Kiran smiled triumphantly as the jury started scribbling down notes. " Persecution rests." Anna walked up and said, " Permission to cross-examine the witness?" " Granted." Anna stuck out her tongue at Kiran as she sat down.

" Squishey's sister, was your brother in any way a fun loving cricket?" She nodded through the tears. " Then, would he sometimes get carried away and provoke someone?" She said, " He once got beat up by some older crickets because he was laughing at them."

" That is why my client is not guilty. He was provoked by Squishey and got carried away. New witness." Squishey's sister left and sat down again. " I call… myself to the stand!" The jury gasped and Amanda started laughing. The bailiff uncertainly held out the bible and said, " You swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?" Anna nodded and dashed around to the floor. " Now, where were you the night of August 6?" She dashed back around and said, " I don't remember. Where were you the night of August 6?"

" I don't remember. That's why I'm asking you. Since you are me, you must have been there and you must know." She dashed around again to the stand again.

" If you don't remember, why would I remember since I am you?" She ran to the floor. Yuan started bashing his head on the table.

" Good point. Defense rests." She dashed back around and sat down, waiting for Kiran to cross-examine her. Kiran stood up and shouted, " WHERE WERE YOU THE NIGHT OF AUGUST 6?"

" I don't know." Amanda stood up and yelled, " You were at my house, Anna!"

" CONTEMPT OF COURT! GETTING HELP FROM A NON-WITNESS IS PROHIBITED BY CRICKET LAW H1-35-j, SUB-SECTION 2!" Kiran yelled. The judged banged his gavel that was four times his size and yelled, " ORDER IN THE FREIKING CRICKEN COURT!"

Anna stepped down from the stand and yelled, " WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TWO TALKING ABOUT! HE IS OBVIOUSLY NOT GUILTY!"

The judge had had enough. " HE IS GUILTY AND I SENTENCE HIM TO DEATH! GET HIM!" Kratos stood up and waved his hand. The whole court, with all the crickets disappeared and they were out on the street.

Yuan yelled, " WHY IN BLOODY HELL DIDN'T YOU DO THAT EARLIER? I WAS STRIP SEARCHED, YOU KNOW!"

" It was too funny watching you get hog-marched by those crickets. Now, let us never speak of this again, and shall we get going?"

" I' M STILL MAD AT YOU, KRATOS AURION!"

" YOU KILLED SQUISHEY!"

" WOULD YOU TWO STOP YELLING?" Anna bellowed.

There was only one thing that Amanda could say, " Only in New York could you get arrested by crickets, only in New York."

How was that? Insanity at its weirdest. We were really, really bored. Please review!
