Prologue: I Love You Goodbye

A lady with long auburn hair strolled towards the busy city of Tokyo, Japan. Afterwards, a familiar built caught her attention and it made her stop...

‘Wait… is that guy… K-Keitaro?’

Keitaro is with Mutsumi and he is not just with Mutsumi, they seem to be dating. He is holding her close and it seems that they are so sweet with each other…

“Keitaroooooooooo!” Narusegawa shouted and then she swiftly went to Keitaro.

“N-Narusegawa?” Keitaro stuttered in shock.

“You damn pervert!” Narusegawa screamed in anger.

“H-Hey, it’s n-not what----"Keitaro tried to explain but it’s just too late. Narusegawa already gave him the punch she always give him, and it made Keitaro flew towards the sky.

“That damn pervert.” Narusegawa said and then she walked out of the restaurant.

After the incident, Keitaro dropped Mutsumi off their house. And then he looked for Narusegawa to explain the true story before she saw him embracing Mutsumi. And this was the true story…

“K-Keitaro…” Mutsumi said and then she sobbed.

“H-Hey, why are you crying?” Keitaro asked.

“Can you accompany me? Cummon! Let’s celebrate! Let’s drink!” Mutsumi invited, and then she smiled---- a painful one.

“Are you alright?” Keitaro asked once again.

“Yes I am alright, I’m fine! C’mon! Let’s go!” Mutsumi said and then she pulled Keitaro to the nearest bar and restaurant.

“Are you sure you are alright, Mutsumi? You seem so… depressed.”

“I am alright. Don’t mind me. Let’s just go and celebrate! Whooo! Let’s drink!” Mutsumi exclaimed.

He nodded, “Oh… okay.” and mumbled.

They went inside the bar and drank, though only Mutsumi is drinking, Keitaro is just there to guide and watch over her.

“Why is love so unfair Keitaro?” Mutsumi asked, her eyes becoming reddish, it looks like the spirit of the alcohol had already entered into her system.

“H-Huh? Do you have a problem Mutsumi?” Keitaro asked.

“Yes… I do have a problem! My boyfriend left me, he told me that he wants some space but I know that he’s lying! He just fell out of love and he is saying that he wants space! That is so nonsense Keitaro! I hate him! I hate him so much!” She exclaimed, then she sobbed and cried.

“Sshhh… Mutsumi, it’s alright. He’s an idiot. Don’t worry, there is someone meant and destined for you out there. Just wait… wait for that certain someone.” Keitaro said while comforting Mutsumi.

“If that’s true, then where is he? What’s taking him so long? When will he come into my life? When?!” Mutsumi said between her tears.

“Sshhh… Mutsumi, stop crying… Sshhh…” Keitaro tried to comfort her. Mutsumi is just like a sister to him, she is a very dear friend to Keitaro.

She continued crying and murmured, “I can’t wait anymore Keitaro…”

Mutsumi continued crying and suddenly… she fainted.

“Mutsumi! What happened? Mutsumi!” Keitaro tried to wake her up but he had decided to just let Mutsumi sleep on his shoulders because he knows that she’s just drunk.

Then, that’s the time Narusegawa came into the picture, and it all happened, she gave him the Naru punch, he flew towards the sky and then she ran away…

After the said incident, Narusegawa went to the park and cried there…

“Maybe you just don’t love me anymore Keitaro…” She murmured.

“I know... I’m not like the other typical girls. I’m not sweet, I’m not caring, I’m not very feminine and I guess, I’m not like Mutsumi… I always hurt you; I’m acting as if I’m not your girlfriend. I’m so cruel, I’m so numb! Maybe that’s the reason why you are looking for another girl. Maybe that’s the reason why you are falling in love with Mutsumi...”

Lately, she is noticing that Keitaro and Mutsumi seemed to be so sweet with each other. It seems that there is something going on between them. And that night, she saw him embracing Mutsumi…

After a while of crying and sobbing, “I have decided Keitaro. I will now, set you free…” Narusegawa finally mumbled.

She bowed down and cried.

After a while, the sound of someone's footsteps made her look up----- and it was him.

“Narusegawa…”

She hurriedly wiped her tears, “Why are you here?” and asked.

“I came here to explain everything to you…”

“You don’t need to explain Keitaro, I know exactly what it is and I have made my decision.” Narusegawa firmly said.

He got confused, “W-What d-decision?”

She looked at him straight into the eyes and said, “I think we should end this nonsense relationship.”

“W-What are you s-saying? Y-You’re kidding right?” Keitaro asked while stuttering in apprehension.

“No, I’m not. I think this relationship is going nowhere. So, let’s just end this.” Narusegawa said, she's trying to control her feelings from bursting out. She’s trying her very best to stop her tears from falling down.

He just couldn’t take it anymore, so he finally let all his feelings out, “Damn it Narusegawa! What you’re saying is nonsense! What do you mean this is going nowhere? It’s not going anywhere because we’re not working on it! You, you’re always jumping into conclusions without even trying to seek the whole truth! You think you know everything, but you don't Narusegawa, you don't!” Keitaro shouted and then he sat quietly, staring into the empty ground.

After a while of deafening silence…

He stood up and said, “I guess we’re really through now, maybe you are right. Let’s just end this.”

“We should.” Narusegawa said without looking at him, she’s afraid that once she look into those eyes, she might break down.

“I guess this is goodbye.”

“C-Can we still be… friends?” Narusegawa muttered.

“I don’t know. Not now Narusegawa, I can’t be friends with you right now. Maybe someday, when the wound you made heals. Goodbye Narusegawa and I hope you’re happy… to see me hurt like this.” He uttered and then he finally walked away… away from her.

“Goodbye Keitaro… I love you.” Narusegawa murmured as she watched him walk away from her.

“I’m not doing this because I don’t love you Keitaro; I’m doing this because I love you. And I want you to be happy… if your happiness would mean that I have to set you free, I’d sacrificed for you. I love you Keitaro... goodbye.” She murmured as the crystal drops of tears fell from her eyes.
