Fear

Oh God, fear can be overwhelming. The burning fast pulse that flows through the body takes over, causing you to do stupid things. I know fear like so few other people. I fear more than I'd ever let anyone know. I fear for the Colonel, for my dad, for Daniel, for Teal'c, for myself, for everyone on base, for everyone on Earth, for everyone in our galaxy, for those I love. To know the truth is a terrifying thing, but to be lied to is worse. I know fear, it's a part of me, a living breathing part of me, a part I couldn't live without. Fear is what keeps me from giving in; it makes me think things over more. Fear helps me to find better plans, to realize that something is wrong. If I wasn't afraid, I'd be dead.
