“That’s a disgusting habit,” said Aziraphale.

Crowley took a long drag. “Isn’t it though?” he said, fondly.

“It’s horrible for the lungs.” It wasn’t important that they couldn’t get cancer, or that they could miracle it away, anyway. It was the principle of the thing!

“It’s wonderfully relaxing.”

Aziraphale made a little offended sound in the back of his throat. Crowley smiled lazily at him.

“Want to try?”

“I think not!”

Several hours later, after three bottles, Crowley once again held out the cigarette.

“Oh, fine,” said Aziraphale.

It really was annoying how they didn’t allow smoking inside the gates.
