Memories (Classic Video Game Lyrics)
By Mandy Owston
Memories light the levels of my mind,
Misty Koopa-colored memories
Of the way games were...
Scattered pixels of 8 bits we left behind,
Bits that looked like Mario Brothers
In the way games were...
Can it be that games were all so simple then,
Or has 64-bit rewritten every line?
If we had the chance to play Mario 1 again,
I ask you, would we? WHY would we?
Memories of games so primitive and yet,
Games too painful to remember,
Those games we just didn't rent.
So it's the plumbers we will remember
Whenever we remember... the way games were.
