Balian's sword sliced through the air and hit it's mark. He stood up, staggering slightly, eyes searching frantically through the destruction before him, watching his comrades and enemies fall, united by their bloodlust. He was looking for the one person who meant more to him than the battle itself…

And then he saw her, her eyes blazing and her hair flying, moving with the strength and grace of a goddess. Her eyes locked with Balian's across the tainted battlefield. She nodded at him but it was a gesture that spoke to him, promising the world, and making Balian's heart leap.
