“What day is it, Frodo?” I whispered, not disturbing the hum of the leaves.
“’Tis the fourteenth of February, if my calendar remains correct.”
“Oh, really,” I muttered. “Excellent.”
“Indeed?” he answered frightedly.
I meandered through the flowerbeds, searching for a perfect one. With such an abundance, it was hard to choose, but I settled on a golden one with bluish leaves. Finding the elf was also difficult.
“Happy Valentine’s Day,” I said, as I gave him the flower.
“Hmm?” as he took the flower. Predictable.
