I wonder about that young alchemist.

He has eyes like mine, although they were gold instead of black.

I wonder what his name is.

I wonder who he dared the forbidden to save, to defy all the laws of alchemy to bring back. Who did he love so much that it caused him to try that, and cost him at least an arm.

Arlen, that fool, was wrong. I shall save Elma, with the power of the Stone and of the grand arcanum of Lebis. I shall grant her immortality, and we shall live here in Siam-Sid forever, and at peace with each other. There is nothing I won't give for her, even if the cost includes my life, for she deserves it all.

But I shall have to deal with my young alchemist first.
