Because this line ("Sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it.") won't get out of my head. Seriously. It lives there now. Damn you Brokeback Mountain -hugs the film anway-

So this would be from when Frodo has left and Sam is in the Shire with Rosie.

SF SLASH, I own neither BBM nor LotR, and improvments welcome.

Sometimes

Sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it.

Sometimes I go into the kitchen and it's not Rosie sitting at the table, it's you, spooning sugar into your teacup and staring out the window, watching the clouds go by.

Sometimes I go into the garden and you're standing there, looking at the pansies, before you turn around and look at me. "What are these again, Sam?"

Sometimes I go to sleep with you lying next to me, and sometimes I wake up with you looming over me and smiling.

And sometimes, when I realise that you're not really there, I can barely stop myself from crying.

All I can do is stand by the door and wonder how many more years it will be before Imeet you again.
