A/N...Well, here it is...the last chapter.I really liked writing this fic, and should probably have another up sometime later this week. I'm on an updating craze, so who knows?...

Thanks for all of the reviews...they're greatly appreciated!

Derek set the final box on the floor, sighing.

Turning towards the doorway, he spotted Meredith standing on the porch.

Walking towards her, he wrapped his arms around her. "Hey."

Turning her head towards him, Meredith smiled. ''Hey yourself...lemonade?"She said, raising her glass.

"I'll get some later.I still say it's a miracle that we both managed to have the same day off."Derek said, resting his chin on Meredith's shoulder.

Sticking her hand over his, their hands rested upon her swollen stomach. "Well-you have off...I'm on leave."

Smiling, Derek nodded. "I guess that's true. I brought the boxes in...but I don't want you lifting anything. Well, nothing too heavy, anyway."

"That's 's supposed to come over tomorrow to help me decorate the 's way better at that stuff than I am but..."Meredith trailed off, staring up at the sky.

It was funny how things just seemed to fall into place. When she had found out about the baby, she had been scared. She was trapped in an elevator, face to face with her fears. When Derek had found out, nothing went like she had planned. But, thinking back on it, Meredith wouldn't change a thing about the way things were.

"What are you thinking about?"Derek asked.

"Everything."Meredith said, her hair blowing in the wind. Blinking, she turned towards him. "How far we've come in such a short time. I love you, Derek."

Moving the hair out of her face, Derek kissed her. ''I love you, too."He said, feeling the baby move.

"And I love you."He said, carressing the spot that the kick had come from.

"Have you thought about names?"Meredith asked.

"Names?...I always sorta figured that was your job."

Laughing, Meredith nodded. "I guess you're right. Come on, why don't we go inside?"

"And do what?...Watch me upack?"Derek asked.

"There's not much else to , Christina said she'd stop by after work to see how things were coming along. Burke's probably coming along, so I was thinking maybe we could have dinner done by then."

"And just what are you planning to do for dinner?...Cottage Cheese and chicken?"Derek asked, plastering a smirk on his face.

Playfully hitting him, Meredith laughed. "Making fun of my cravings, huh?Not very nice..."

"I'm sorry...I just don't find..."Derek stopped, watching the expression on Meredith's face.

If it was possible, the pregnancy had made her eyes grow even for emotional. There was something about Meredith Grey that seemed escapable to him. The personality that shown through everytime she spoke, he knew she'd make an excellent doctor one day. As for now, Derek was content holding her.

"But maybe you're right...maybe we should get cooking."

"We?"Meredith asked, raising an eyebrow. "Since when do you cook?"

The knock came at the door, and Derek went to answer.

'Mer...they're here."He said.

"Okay..we're here...Hey, nice place...You really picked it out?"Christina asked Derek.

"Well, Meredith had a big part in it but...pretty much."

Meredith walked out of the kitchen, wiping her hands on a towel. Making her way past a stack of boxes, she made her way to the door. "Christina...Hi. Dr. Burke..."She said, shaking his hand.

"It's Preston...among friends, of course."Burke said, shaking her hand. "So...what's for dinner?"

"Actually, it's almost done...Christina...can you come and help me?"Meredith asked, walking towards the kitchen.

"What's up?"Christina asked, as the were in the kitchen.

"Nothing much...''Meredith said, taking stirring the skillet on the stove. "Tell me the truth...really. Are you okay with all of this?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well...I trust you. I mean..I'm not saying I regret anything I've done because I'm the happiest I've been since...a long time."Meredith said, putting the lid back on.

"But...If you feel awkward...you know...around Derek...Because I know that you've had trouble before."

"Mer?"Christina said.

"I've watched you mope around the hospital...I've seen you break down in tears...I've seen you smile through day dreams...But really...this is the happiest I've seen could I possibly complain?"

"I guess you've got a ...I was thinking...you know..whenever Derek and I really do you know...get married...I was hoping that maybe you'd wanna be a part of it."Meredith said.

"Sure...wait...you aren't gonna be one of those crazy bridezilla brides are you?"Christina asked, wrinkling her nose.

"No..."Meredith said, laughing.

"And it doesn't include wearing some taffeta dress, right?"

"I'll tell you what...I'll ask for your advice when it comes to the dresses, okay?"

Derek opened to door to the kitchen. "Is dinner ready?"

"Um...yep."

Dinner had ended, and they stood on the porch saying their goodbyes.

"I'll see you at work tomorrow, Derek...Oh, And Mer...''Christina said, stopping on the stairs.

"Izzie went home early...she wasn't feeling well. So she said she's sorry, but she won't be able to make it today."

"Okay...if you see her...tell her that I hope she feels better."Meredith said, waving. "Bye Christina...Good-bye, Dr...Preston."

Burke smiled, waving. "Good night, Meredith...Derek."He said as they walked off to their car. Meredith turned towards Derek.

"You look tired...why don't you go in...take a nice shower... could watch a movie."

"Mmm..."She said, smiling. "I could do that..."

Laughing, Derek kissed the tip of her nose. "What do you wanna do tomorrow?"

"I don't know...there's not much I can do these days."

"Oh...''Derek said. "Well...because...As of right now...I don't have to work. Don't you have an appointment tomorrow?"

Opening the door to the house, Meredith nodded. "Yeah..."

"Okay...Hey, I'm gonna go to the store really quick...to pick up that cheesecake you wanted."

"Mm...sounds gonna be back soon?"Meredith asked.

"As quick as I can..."

"Okay..."Meredith said. "I'll see you when you get back."

Derek turned to walk out the door.

''Derek, wait..."

Turning towards Meredith, Derek left the door open. "Yeah?"

Meredith kissed him, feeling sorry that she hadn't before. "Sorry."

"For what?"

"For not doing that earlier."

Laughing, Derek tucked Meredith's hair behind her ear. "I love you."

Kissing him again, Meredith nodded. "I love you, too Derek...Now...about that cheesecake..."

Shaking his head, Derek grinned. "Mer...you...are impossible."

"But you love me anyway."Meredith said, rubbing her stomach.

"That..is very true."Derek said, kissing her. "So...that cheesecake..."

"Hey..."Meredith called out the door.

"You'll be back soon, right?"

"Yep..."

"Okay...and hey-"

Derek stopped just outside of the car.

"I love you."
