Final chapter! Oh yus…
And…this chapter will most likely be shorter then the rest…
Thanks guys for reviewing. And that double paragraph thing in the before chapter…I don’t know what happened there…I’ll have to go back and fix it when I figure out what went wrong.
Forgotten Resentment
Yoko sat in the field house practically shaking with anxiety. The school portion of the day flew by without her even noticing it, but the practice part seemed to be more then just two hours like normal practice.
She had gotten dressed all too quickly, and only three people had shown up for practice. All she knew was that she was wasn’t early since Nene was already there, nor late since Ryo and Izumi, who came in late nowadays, weren’t there yet.
She slapped her hands on her knees that started to bounce a little, and sat back against the wall to keep herself from jumping at every sound of a door or the tap of a shoe.
“Hey Yoko you alright? You seem jumpy today.” Asked Hikaru appearing out of nowhere to the blonde, and she jumped completely out of her seat.
“HIKARU…I’m fine!” she placed a hand over her chest with a sigh of relief.
Hikaru laughed at Yoko’s reaction and took a seat on the bench the blonde had just been sitting. “You don’t look it.”
“Hikaru’s right,” said Koharu. “You’re usually prancing around here reciting some audition piece and pretty laid back. What gives?”
Yoko sat back down and bit her lip. “Just yesterday…”
“Is this about Seira?” asked Koharu and Yoko nodded.
“I know she yells at us a lot, mostly you, about stuff but don’t take it too personally. She only does it for the team.”
“Right Hikaru, but she should also control her temper better. She doesn’t always have to threaten us the way she does or yell, but there’s no helping that. All you can do is let it slid off.”
Yoko cocked an eyebrow. So they thought she was jumpy because she was afraid of Seira. It was a little true, but it wasn’t truth enough. “She can be nice…”
The two almost rolled out laughing.
“The only time I’ve seen Seira close to nice is when we played Rin Kai and she had to be.” Laugh Koharu walking to the back to the locker room.
“When I see Seira show anyone any kind of affection, I’d faint right then and there.” Giggled Hikaru walking for the door to leave when it opened smacking her clean in the face.
“Ouch…” Yoko laughed as Hikaru held her face in her hands jumping around.
“My bad,” came Seira’s voice. Still, no apology was said. “Where is everyone? I’d at least expect to see Ryo and the blue hair princess here already. This isn’t the time to be slacking off if we’re trying to go to Koshien.” She continued, grabbing Hikaru by the back of the shirt to keep her from running around like a chicken that’d lost their head. “If we don’t make it this season, I’m going back to track.”
Yoko said nothing. She just sat there listening to the familiar voice of her lover go on about things she knew she’d never do. She loved the voice and how cruel it sounded, but behind it was a soft caring girl who’d drop anything for anyone right there.
Her head slowly came up when the talking had stopped, her violet eyes meeting a pair of blue ones. Almost both of them, but only one was completely visible. Her gaze was soft and easy instead of aggravated and lost, and Yoko could’ve sworn she saw a grin on her face but it was more of a sneer the longer she stared at it.
“Shouldn’t you be outside practicing?” Seira spat relieving Yoko from her stare. “You’re the one who needs it the most here.”
“Could you help me?”
“That kind of help I don’t offer. Ask one of your other little friends you won’t end up kissing to help you.” And she left laughing to herself.

Again, they were in partners same group, same spot, same thing as before.
Ryo pitched a wicked fastball to Izumi who hit it only a few feet away. She shook her hands and readied herself for another one shaking her head at Ryo who asked if she should throw something slower.
Yoko saw the next hit and ran to catch it, which she did, and egotistically passed it back to Ryo.
“Good one Yoko! Seems you’ve improved now that Seira is off of your mind.”
‘Oh shut up Izumi!’ is what Yoko wanted to yell, but shook it off and watched as Ryo pitched again. The pitch was nowhere near fast, and Yoko knew exactly what was about to happen. She made eye contact with Izumi who smirked and slammed it into the air with greater force then the last time.
“Oh not again!” Yoko started to run. “Seira!”
Seira turned to Yoko then looked up at the ball headed for her. She just watched it glancing to Yoko who started to slow her pace.
“Catch it you ditz!” Seira ran from the path of the ball.
“You know I can’t catch it Seira!”
“Then I guess you don’t care about us!”
“Seira?”
The redhead tilted her head up squinting to see the shadowed figure in front of her. “Yuki?” she whispered as the figure knelt down beside her holding a bottle of water.
“Here, you look almost dead.” Yuki smiled unscrewing the water bottle and placing it in Seira’s hand.
Seira gulped down the water all but devouring ever last drop of it before dropping the bottle to the ground, her eyes beginning to water. “Why are you helping me?”
“I’m returning the favor you did for me when I lost Fifi.”
“No, Yuki, you don’t understand. I stole Fifi because I was jealous of how much attention she got. I know it’s stupid, but it just really bothered me.”
Yuki smiled. “I know Seira, and I know why you did and I forgive you.”
Seira turned her gaze to Yuki. “I didn’t mean to hurt you so bad Yuki…it’s just…”
“You don’t have to explain. You were right, it was enough for the time we were together, but I knew you liked someone else so I didn’t hold it against you.”
“But you ran off crying and never talked to me again.”
Yuki dropped her head. “Fifi told me what was going on, and I knew it was because of me that you were hurting Yoko like you have.”
“No…”
“You just had to wait for me to forgive you didn’t you? You couldn’t go into another relationship without knowing I was alright.”
Seira reached out an arm pulling Yuki into a hug. “Thank you Yuki…”
Yoko stopped running completely when she reached Seira, and the ball hit the ground just behind her.
Her eyes narrowed and her face turned red. “Seira! I’m sick of you! You know that I’ve liked you for the longest time, and you’ve been sitting here throwing it in my face like it’s something to play with. You remember very well what you promised me. You promised me we would be together when you got over something. Well that was a month ago Seira, so what the hell is going on! If you don’t want me anymore, just tell me.”
Silence. The whole field fell silent and the spotlight was on the two girls standing face to face with one another. No body dared say anything, or move at that as they watched the two. Confusion crossed every team members face and worry came across Yuki, Ryo, and Izumi’s face as they watched.
“Damn you Yoko.” Seira choked on her words letting her baseball mitt fall from her hand. She brought a hand up cupping Yoko’s cheek and pulled the blonde into a light kiss.
Yoko didn’t take this at all and pulled Seira into a deeper kiss putting her arms around her neck before they parted from one another.
“You look better like that.” Whispered Yoko. Seira rose an eyebrow and blinked a few times. Her hair had been pushed from her face exposing the hidden side to anyone who was looking. “This is your look.”
The redhead turned to see Yuki with a smile on her face and she mouthed the words Thank You to her blue haired friend, and Fifi of course. Hikaru had indeed fainted, the rest of the team was totally confused, and Izumi and Ryo were nowhere to be found on the field.
“I can’t believe it!” Shouted Koharu throwing her arms in the air.
“I knew something was wrong with them, but I never would’ve guessed this.“ Said Kanako scratching her head.
“This is a surprise…” stuttered Mao, face turning a deeper red each second she stared at the two.
“What the hell are you guys lookin at!” shouted Seira throwing her fist in the air.
Hikaru, who had just sat up, took one good look at Seira’s whole face and fell back over.
“Oh Seira,” giggled Yoko pulling her friend back into a kiss just to shut her up.

“So, my ace pitcher, are we going to tell the others?”
“Hmm. I have a better way to let them know.”
“As you wish captain.”
THE END
That’s another story with Izumi and Ryo. If you’d like it, I’d write it but…
Yeah this chap was pretty short. Shorter then I’dve liked it to be…but oh well. I was running out of ideas. Just hoped you likeded it.
