“Hey, green guy, what are you doing behind the house?” Melinda asked Piccolo, who was in the shadows.

“Piccolo, what are you doing here? We have no time for a rematch right now—“ Goku started, but was cut off by Piccolo.

“I’m not here for a rematch, I’m here to help. I know for a fact you can’t beat him on your own, and I won’t be defeated by such an arrogant opponent.”

“Piccolo, was your name? Two fighters are better than one. That’s my philosophy,” she shrugged, “here’s the plan: you two fight, and I retrieve the kid. When I retrieve the kid, you will stop fighting. I am a force to be reckoned with, too.”

“Why aren’t you fighting?” Goku asked serenely. Melinda eyed him levelly as if to say ‘you’re nuts’. She walked over to the edge of the island looking wistfully out into the sea.

“I will not be responsible for my own brother’s death,” was her reply. “Now, come on, you two, unless you’re willing to meet his demands.” She looked over her shoulder. The men looked at each other.

“Why are you so trusting of me? I am the demon king,” Piccolo asked after a moment of silence.

“I’d rather trust my life with a demon than a human. Besides, I’ve met the kings of the demon world and had tea with one of their offspring. You are no demon king,” Melinda said remaining calm, “I have a demon sleeping in my living room. Are we going to stand here and talk all day, or what?”

“Gohan had a Dragonball on his cap, right? You can track him through that,” Bulma said, tossing the device to Goku. Goku caught it with ease and called Nimbus cloud. The yellow thing swiftly came to a stop in front of him. Quickly, he clambered aboard and Melinda quietly, and with more grace, climbed on in front of him. Annoyance was clearly written on her face as she waited for the tragedies to begin.

“You think you can keep up with me with that?” Piccolo asked haughtily.

“You’ll be eating my dust,” Goku replied before taking off without warning. Melinda thought to herself, boys; I guess it’s a dominance thing.

I know I should have put more to this, but I know what I want to do, it’s just I don’t feel like typing it all. I'm sorry about not updating in a while.
