Fallen Angel: Revival

Author's note- Due to popular demand, I have started work on a sequel to Fallen Angel :)

A light flickered in the air in the middle of the room, and the white winged hedgehog looked up at it. Etheran had appeared again, several months after they had figured him gone forever. Yet he was much tamer than he had been on his last appearance. He still looked vicious, with his acid green eyes, stark white fur, and black quills, but he hadn't gone tearing around the room, destroying everything. All the damage had been done by Sonic, in his desperate attempt to prevent the demonic hedgehog from returning to the surface.

"Sonic... I mean, Etheran? Why are you back? Didn't Xion, Shadow, return to the other life?" Tails looked at him, still holding the pancakes he had been bringing into the room when Sonic had changed his form. He would have put them onto the table, except for the fact that the table was currently in pieces on the other side of the room.

"Yeah, what're ya doing back, messing with Sonic's head again?" Knuckles took the pancakes from Tails, starting to stuff them into his mouth.

"I was a curse. I still am. I came back, because there is another angel coming..." He frowned as he spoke, a faint echo in his voice "And Sonic is far too sensitive to heavenly creatures for his own good."

"Another angel?" Knuckles stopped eating and blinked in surprise. "Who is it?"

Etheran shrugged "Who knows? Could be Xion, could be his friend Maria..."

"Could be Amy?" Tails suggested.

"Huh?" Knuckles and Etheran stared at him

"Seriously" Tails pointed past them, and they turned around

A yellow hedgehog with large, feathered wings, with pink feathers fringing them, and a large crest of pink feathers on her head, stood in front of them, a worried look upon her face. Her red dress flowed in a non existant breeze, and her hands were clasped together. She looked past her long fringe and stared straight at the three surprised animals in the room. Tails whimpered, and rubbed his eyes, before running up to her and hugging her

"Amy! Amy, you're back! I missed you so much!" He cried as she hugged him back

"Tails... I know you missed me..." She smiled down at him. "But I couldn't come back to help you. In fact, it is actually..." She looked up at Etheran "...Your help that I need."

"'im? Why him?" Knuckles finished off the pancakes and threw the plate onto a nearby chair. "Weren't you heaven people trying to kill him last time?"

"I know. Ironic isn't it?" She sighed. "But it's true. There's a problem with Shadow..."

Etheran rolled his eyes "No surprise there then. Faker's always got somthing wrong with him"

"I know that was you Sonic." Amy laughed, then her smile dropped again "But it's much more than a problem with his amnesia."

"What is it this time then?" Etheran spoke with the faint echo again, sounding serious

"He's falling again, but this time he's becoming a demon. Please, Etheran! You have to help us." She looked upset

"Why should I?" He snorted "You did try to destroy me last time, as Knuckles said. I'm no angel. I don't need to to anything you ask me to."

Amy looked like she was going to cry, and crouched into a ball, hugging her knees. Etheran folded his arms and turned away, frowning. Tails stood near Amy, looking at Etheran with a mixture of sadness and anger, while Knuckles just threatened to walk up to him and knock him out.

"I thought you, and Sonic, loved me..." Amy looked at him, staring intently at the back of his head. "Even though you killed me, I know you regretted it. Please Etheran..." She buried her face again "... Please help me"

She was surprised when Etheran turned around, his eyes filled with tears "But you love Shadow, not me!" He shook his head, letting the tears fall down his cheeks "I wouldn't even be talking to you if Sonic wasn't so allergic to angels!"

"But if you don't help us he'll destroy you!" She cried out at him "Only demons can heal demons, same as only angels can heal angels. I can't do anything for him! Eth, you're the only demon I know!"

"Just go away and leave me alone!"

"Can I help Amy? Please?" Tails looked at her, rubbing his arms "I'd do anything to help"

Amy was about to answer, when Etheran said exactly what she was about to say "Tails, you're mortal. If you face him he'll kill you!"

Tails glared at the demon, his tails twitching angrilly "WELL I DON'T SEE YOU VOLUNTEERING!"

Knuckles stared blankly at Tails, while Etheran froze, his mouth open as if he was trying to say something. Amy got back to her feet, her wings folded up but still trailing on the floor slightly. She put her hand on Tails' shoulder and spoke softly

"Tails, he does have a point. But he is allowed to refuse" She sighed sadly

"Yeah, coz he's a big fat chicken who is nothing like Sonic. Sonic would do anything to help anyone, which makes him far better than you'll ever be!" The little fox glared at Etheran as he spoke, sniffling back tears "That's why Sonic never desererved to be afflicted with YOU! You stuck up, selfish-"

"That's enough Tails!" Knuckles finally decided to speak again, and frowned

Etheran shook his head and turned away, wrapping his wings around him like a large, leathery cloak. He frowned, walking away from the others, kicking pieces of broken furniture aside as he made his way towards the door. Amy sniffled, her ears drooping slightly. She sighed sadly and turned around to face the wall, but looked back quickly when Etheran spoke.

"... What's wrong with Shadow?"

Amy spoke slowly as she recapped what had happened.
