Hey this is Monkey-girl and this is my new Balto story set after Wings of Change.

Balto: New Dog on the Block

The hum of a bush plane called out over the small town of Nome, Alaska. It bounced slightly as it landed, the tires skidding on the icy ground. When it stopped a tall figure scrambled out pulling another figure out, smaller than the first.

“That was so cool,” the smaller figure said in a higher pitched voice, signifying her a female. When she took her helmet off chocolate brown hair tumbled out falling onto her honey-colored face, her somewhat freckled cheeks slightly flushed from the flight. Her green eyes flashed in excitement as she pulled her wavy shoulder length hair into a pony-tail.

The first figure laughed and replied in a deeper voice “ Try doing it everyday.” When he took off his helmet his short, black hair fell into his ice blue eyes. Shaking it out of his mocha face, he laughed again as she tried to defend her self. Keyword being tried.

“ Yeah, well,” she stuttered and gave a cry of mock outrage as he laughed again. “ Shut up, Mark!”

The first figure, now known as Mark, held back another laugh at the girl’s flushed face, only now it wasn’t from the flight.

“Alright,” Mark sighed, but yelped as he was hit with a snowball, “ Hey! Madison, cut it out! Act your real age!” he was replied with a snow ball to the face.

“Why act 20 when it’s more fun to act 5!” Madison squealed launching another snowball.

MEANWHILE

Two Huskies were watching the two humans antics while cracking up. The first had a chunky body and was a dark tan color, with light tan chest fur. His black eyes were screwed shut from laughing so hard. The second was a big steel gray husky with light gray chest fur that was almost blue. His eyes were also screwed shut but his eyes were black with yellow eye whites, giving him a slightly wolfish appearance.

The two were still having there giggle fit when two more huskies trotted up. “What’s going on, Kirby?” asked the first, a female. She was a brown-gray with light gray chest fur. Kirby, the dark tan just pointed at the humans, who were currently chasing each other with handfuls of snow.

The other husky a dark red with cream colored chest fur sighed at his comrades antics. Suddenly a snowball hit the steel gray husky on the side of the face causing him to yelp.

“Oh, are you okay, puppy?” Madison said coming over to the steel gray male. “I’m sorry for hitting you,” she said while scratching under his chin. “Hey, Mark who’s this cute puppy?” she called over her shoulder, causing the husky to blush slightly and the rest snicker.

“That’s Ralph,” Mark replied coming over, “ The tan is Kirby, the red Kodiak, Kodi for short , and the other gray is Dusty, she’s a sweetheart.” As if she knew what he was talking about Dusty barked happily. “ Speaking of sweethearts, Madi, shouldn’t you go get Yetta?”

“Oh! I forgot. Yetta, come!” Madi called to the plane. After a few seconds a head popped out of the cockpit. This head wasn‘t human, but a dog, Shiba Inu to be exact. The dog hopped out onto the ground and dashed over to Madi. “Hey, Yetta sorry I forgot to get ya’.” Yetta let out a woof and head butted Madi’s shoulder before licking her cheek. This caused Madi to giggle and let out an “Ewww.”

“Come on Madi, lets go get your bags,” Mark chuckled and the two walked over to the plane and started to unload. Kodi and Co. observed the new dog Yetta. She was a gold color with cream colored chest fur and face markings around her dark chocolate eyes. “ Hi I’m Yetta.”
