What I don’t know is…how are you going to react when I ask the most important question ever?
That’s what terrifies me.
“Err…Scaramouche. I’ve got something I want to ask you.” Galileo said nervously to Scaramouche who was sitting quietly strumming the guitar.
“Sure, what’s up Gazza?” she answered him, putting the guitar to one side
“It’s kinda important.” He said, rubbing the back of his neck
“Why. What’s wrong?” she frowned worriedly
“Oh, nothing’s wrong” He quickly said seeing her face.
“Then what’s up?”
“I know we’ve only been going out for about a year, but I never, and probably never will, love anyone as much as I love you. I was just wondering if…if…if…ah crap, will you marry me Scaramouche?”
There was a moment of silence. Galileo looked up quickly at Scaramouche. He couldn’t read the expression on her face. Then…
“Yes.”
“What?” Galileo exclaimed, believing he hadn’t heard correctly.
“Yes, I’ll marry you. Because I love you. And I trust you. And I know that you would never do anything deliberately to hurt me. And like I said, I love you, I want to be with you forever. So yes I’ll marry you.”
“I love you too Scaramouche.”
