Chapter One

"Henry, there is something you need to know." Libby said one night as she and Henry were getting ready for bed.

"What is it darling?" Henry asked coming into their bedroom from their bathroom.

"I know that you love Daphne and in a few months our son will be here…" Libby started.

"And?" Henry asked as he put his hand on her stomach.

"Remember when I was gone for those six months before we came back here? When I went to New York to see my parents?" Libby asked.

"Yes, I had missed you all that time." Henry said.

"I was pregnant during that time. You have another daughter." Libby told Henry.

"I have another daughter?" Henry shouted as he started pacing their room.

"I have an older sister?" Daphne asked from the doorway to her parents' room.

"Yes." Libby said.

"Where is she? What's her name?" Daphne asked jumping onto her parents' bed.

"Her name is Harper Dashwood. My parents named her." Libby told her daughter.

"Why didn't you ever tell me I had a sister? Why does she have dad's last name? How old is she?" Daphne asked.

"My parents raised her. She grew up in a different atmosphere then you and me. My mother wanted her to have her father's last name. She is twenty years old." Libby told her daughter.

"I want to meet her." Daphne said.

"Daphne, it is past one and you have plans with Ian tomorrow. Good-night." Henry told his daughter.

"Good-night." Daphne said to her parents as she left and went to her room.

"What's wrong?" Ian asked

"Last night, I went to ask my mom for something and as I go into their room, she tells him that I have an older sister. My whole life she tells me everything, but this she keeps a secret." Daphne said.

"And what are you going to do about it?" Ian asked wondering what his girlfriend was planning.

"I want to find her." Daphne said determined.

"Do you know where she lives or what her name is?" Ian asked.

"Harper Dashwood and I have no idea where she lives." Daphne told him.

"Did you say Harper Dashwood? I know her." Ian said.

"What? How? Where is she?" Daphne asked.

"She was dating one of my mates." Ian said.

"Was?" Daphne asked.

"He broke up with her yesterday. Poor girl, don't think she knew that Craig was a heartbreaker." Ian said.

"You've got to tell my parents." Daphne said.

"MOM! DAD!" Daphne shouted as she and Ian came into the Dashwood household.

"Daphne? What's wrong?" Libby asked as she came down the stairs.

"Where is Dad?" Daphne asked.

"He's in his study. He's upset with me that I don't know where Harper is. My parents refused to tell me." Libby said.

"Come on." Daphne said grabbing Ian's hand.

When Ian and Daphne were outside Henry's study, Daphne said, "You tell him and I will go and tell Mom." And then she left to go find her mom.

Ian knocked on the door and entered when he heard someone say, "Come in."

"Lord Dashwood. I have something to tell you." Ian said as he came into the study.

"What is it, Ian?" Henry asked.

"I know where your daughter, Harper Dashwood is." Ian told him honestly.

"Where is she? How is she?" Henry asked standing up and reaching for his coat.

"She is at her flat. She's a little sad at the moment. That usually happens when you get your heart broken." Ian said.

"You are going to take me to her place, right?" Henry asked.

"You mean now?" Ian asked.

"Yes, just you and me." Henry said as they took one passage way out of the place to where his car was.
