Wilson dumped his bag unceremoniously by the couch, took the beer House offered him and sat down.

"Tell ya what," House said after a moment, "I'll give you a freebie, but don't tell the other kids or everyone will want one."

Wilson raised an eyebrow.

"You can talk and I'll at least pretend to listen and be supportive," House clarified, "But don't expect me to hold you while you cry."

Wilson gave him a weak, but grateful, smile and took a deep breath. He did not cry, but House held him anyway.
