Part Fourteen: Vermilion Gym Gamble

Last time on Curse of the Springs...

The Rocket Knights attacked as usual and were defeated. Everyone arrived at the Vermilion Gym for The Nerima Crews Battles. Who will triumph this time? Ukyo, Ryoga, Ranma, and Akane or AJ the Gym Leader? To find out Stay tuned.

Ukyo and the others arrived at the Gym wondering who the Gym Leader will be.

All of a sudden a spotlight went on and A.J. showed up.

"I am A.J. the new leader of the Vermilion City Gym." A.J. started. "Who wishes to challenge me for a Thunder Badge?" A.J. finished.

"We do." Ranma, Akane, Ryoga, and Ukyo said in unison.

"Very well I accept your challenges." A.J. said as he took his place at one side of the Gym Arena.
Ranma, Akane, Ryoga and Ukyo took their place at the other side. Ryoga stepped up first to chllenge A.J.
and sent out Combusken.

"A Combusken huh? Well go Electabuzz!" A.J. said.

The Neriman Pokemon Trainers took out their Pokedexs and analyzed the Pokemon in front of them. Now the battle was ready to get underway.

"Electabuzz Thunder Punch!" A.J. said.

"Dodge it Combusken and use Sky Uppercut." Ryoga said.

Combusken did so and took out Electabuzz with one shot.

"Electabuzz is unable to battle. Combusken is the winner of the match. Ryoga Hibiki wins this match." The Ref said raising the Green flag.

"Good job Combusken Return!" Ryoga said as he went to stand next to Ukyo who stepped foward.

"Sandslash! I Choose You!" Ukyo said.

"Return Electabuzz. Go Pikachu!" A.J. said.

"Sandslash use earthquake!" Ukyo said.

Sandslash did so and ended up knocking the Pikachu out.

"Return Pikachu! This time I will use two Pokemon! Go Electavire and Raichu!" A.J. said.

"Then we will battle you together I choose you Charmeleon!" Akane said.

"Go Quilava." Ranma said.

The battle waged on and A.J. ended up losing. There four the Neriman Pokemon Trainers wer awarded the Thunder Badge.

A.J. turns to his highest ranking official of the Gym.

"Jack I am going to travel around a while to toughen up my Pokemon. You are in charge of the Gym until I return." A.J. said.

"Yes sir!" Jack said as he watched the Gym Leader leave on a journey.

Ash and company decided to go to the Pokemon Center to see if A.J. will travel with them.

Later on at the Pokemon center...

Ash and company went up to A.J. and saw the Thunder Badge show up on his forehead the Thunder Medallion then materialized around A.J.'s neck.

"A.J. will you travel with us and help us defeat the Rocket Knights? We need your power over the Electrical Element to combat the Rocket Knights." Ash asked then said.

"Sure I'll travel with Ya'll." A.J. said picking up his healed Pokemon.

"Cool!" Misty said.

With that the Raider Warriors grew by one more member that day and the Neriman Pokemon Trainers earned their third badge.

Since A.J. was the Gym Leader, he got on the St. Anne II for free as did the Ash, Misty and the Neriman Pokemon Trainers. All of a sudden on board the St. Anne II the lights went dark and several sinister voices cackled.

Where one adventure ends another begins! Be on the lookout!
