Ohayo! Gomen, I’ve beem so busy lately and it made me hard to update, I had my birthday (15 babay!), First Communion and Confirmation, then I went on my Class Trip to Washington D.C. U So that’s my “good excuse” this time! XD And without further ado, I present to you: Silent Wishes: Chapter 5 “If I could, I would.”

Warning- This chapter contains profanity! Also, it makes me sad,so just be forewarned that it is a sad chapter.

“Stay back!” she shouted at Itachi pulling out a kunai, “Hinata-chan…go ahead and stab me if you want…” Itachi said calmly, “I don’t deserve to live anyway…” Hinata laughed a cruel laugh at that, “Who said I was going to stab you?” she asked, challenging him, unstuttering. She held the kunai to her neck, “Let Naruto-kun go!” she said firmly. Itachi stopped in his tracks. She was serious about this.

The Hyuga girl was out cold, lying on the floor, she had made the mistake of looking Itachi in the eyes. He didn’t hurt her, just stunned her with his Sharigan. He picked her up gently and lay her body on his bed. He rejoined the others in the living area.

“If you don’t kill her, I will!” Kisame snarled.

“Do we have to kill her, yeah?” Deidara asked, clearly unsatisfied with the idea of killing his new friend.

“I’ll take her back home tonight.” Itachi replied.
Kisame glared, “Knowing our location! No way, Leader will-.”

“Leader doesn’t have to know about her!” Itachi shot back, defensively.

Deidara nodded. “What if she tries to get revenge on you?” Kisame questioned, “Then what!”

Itachi sighed, “Alright…fine, I’ll do it myself…”

Sasori entered silently, seating himself on the floor, “The Kyuubi boy is dead.” He replied, satisfied. A shudder ran up Itachi’s spine, Hinata would never forgive him.

Itachi carried Hinata in his arms, she was still out. She would be awake soon; however. He was ordered to kill her by his comrades, but to do such a thing to her, the one he loved? It was out of the question. He decided that taking her home would be punishment enough. Her eyes opened slowly, and she stared up at Itachi.

She shifted a bit. He gazed ahead. “I-Itachi-san?” she whispered shakily, “I-I could hear you talking earlier…p-please…kill me.” She said, her voice had begun to quiver.

Itachi stared at her, “I’m taking you home…” he replied.

“JUST FUCKING KILL ME!” Hinata screamed at him. She fought to escape his arms, she beat her fists into his chest,

Itachi stopped and put Hinata down, pinning her to a tree in front of him, “Look at yourself,” he said in a pitying voice, “You’re pathetic.” He finished bluntly.

Hinata was silent, her sobs quieted, she stopped moving, she just…stared.

Itachi wiped away her tears gently with his thumb, “I couldn’t go through with killing you.”

“N-nani? Why?” she asked.

“Because…I-I love you Hinata-hime.” He ouleed her into his arms and planted a gentle, yet firm kiss upon her pale, smooth lips.

She stared at him for a second when they parted, then kissed him back. After they parted, both of them wanted more, but the feeling of other nin in their presence stopped them.

Neji jumped down from a tree, followed by Lee, Tenten, Kiba, Shino, and Sakura. “Who the hell do you think you are touching my cousin!” Neji asked, glaring daggers at him. Itachi glared back.

“N-Neji-niisan?” Hinata said slowly, she stepped in front of Itachi.

Sakura went pale, like she’d seen a ghost, “Sasuke-kun?” she asked.

Itachi glared at her, “That weakling? I’m his brother baka!” he hissed bitterly.

Sakura glared back, “Where’s Naruto-chan!” she shouted.

“And give us Hinata-chan!” Kiba added.

“Or we’ll kick you butt!” Lee agreed.

Hinata spun around and stared at Itachi, he stared back, “I’m sorry…” he whispered to her, “The Kyuubi boy is dead!” he said louder so that everyone could hear.

“You killed Naruto-chan!” Sakura asked frantically, he was her best friend practically, she began to sob heavily, “I’ll KILL you!” she screamed, “You took away everyone important to me! Because of you Sasuke-kun left and because of you Naruto-chan is dead!” she charged at him. He did not move. Next to charge was Lee, he couldn’t let her get hurt, he was followed by Neji, who was followed by Tenten, who was followed by Kiba and Shino, all aiming for Itachi…all missed horribly, because something got in the way at the last possible second.

“Hinata-hime!” Itachi shouted, as her body went limp and she fell to the ground, cold, her eyes were emptier than they had ever been, they held absolutely nothing. “H-Hinata…” his eyes filled with tears, “kill me!” he ordered.

“You don’t need to ask!” said another voice. Everyone turned, yes,it was Sasuke.

“Sasuke-kun!” Sakura shouted in disbelief.

“That bastard Orochomaru wasn’t helping me…” he said bitterly. He pushed his way past everyone to his brother.

Itachi stood there, waiting, “Just….end it.” He replied.

“Gladly…but not without a fight.”

“DO IT NOW, DAMMIT!”

Sasuke glared, “Fight me!”

And so it began, both Uchiha’s eyes went crimson. Itachi stabbed Sasuke in the stomach, Sasuke vomited blood. He pulled away and formed hand seals, blowing big red flames at the older, Itachi’s hands were burned. Itachi stared his brother down, a second later Sasuke was screaming in pain on the ground, vomiting more. Sasuke, gathered his strength and formed his hand seals for Chidori and lunged at Itachi, and the same time Itachi spit out deadly fireballs. And so it ended…both Uchihas, dead, bloody, and burned on the ground, both lay next to Hinata.

Al of them were sad, mostly Neji and Sakura, both cried. Lee was about to pick up Hinata when Neji screamed, “Don’t touch her! Have you no respect! I can carry her you baka!” Lee nodded and picked up Itachi instead. Sakura and Tenten carried Sasuke.

Later that week a Jounin found Naruto’s body near Konoha…

The whole village turned out for the funeral service, there had been a lot of deaths. Tsunade spoke clearly in the eulogy about each of the nin, she spoke of all the good things, and tried not to speak of the bad. Others spoke as well.

“U-Uzumaki Naruto and U-Uchiha S-Sasuke, were t-two of the best friends anyone could ever ask for…” Sakura began, tears streamed down her face as she spoke, “T-they were best friends and worst enemies at the same time, constantly at it…yet at the same time they always stuck together…So why!” she said her voice raising, “Why did they have to leave me! Why did they have to die!” she screamed she buried her face into her hands…Kakashi helped her off the stage, he too was in tears, when he returned he spoke:

“Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke, were the best subordinates anyone could ask for, very competent, energetic, and neither one ever gave up. Both were driven by a dream…Naruto just wanted approval, that’s it, nothing more…his dream was to become Hokage, even though most everyone hated him, he loved you all…Sasuke’s dream was to kill his brother…he fulfilled that dream…but also he wanted to resurrect his clan…Itachi, his brother, was one of the strongest ninja our village had ever seen…but he, like his brother and most other Uchiha, wanted more power, he wanted freedom. He didn’t care about his rank, he didn’t want to be ANBU leader, so he left…He wanted death…well, his dream has been fulfilled…” Kakashi tried to hold back anymore tears before he got of stage.

Hiashi came forth, “Hinata, my beautiful daughter, was weak, but strong minded, timid and shy, yet caring. I never knew much about my own daughter until she left…she left her journal behind for me to read, she wanted her freedom…she thought of this place as hell…” Hiashi began to sob, Hinabi hugged Neji tightly, both were in tears, “My little girl is gone…and I didn’t get to make things right, or ask for forgiveness, or even say good-bye…I didn’t get to day good-bye to my baby! Instead she was killed, trying to save th-that TRAITOR!” he spat bitterly at Itachi’s coffin, “YOU KILLED MY DAUGHTER!” he shouted. He was escorted off stage, crying uncontrollably. He immediately took Hanabi into his arms when he walked to her and Neji, he even hugged Neji.

After the funeral, most people went back to their normal day activities, except of course the ninja, family, and/or friends closely associated with the dead. All were added to the KIA stone, even Itachi, after all, he was a former citizen of Konohagukure.

‘All of this…this hate, love, and heartbreak was caused by one little girl and her foolish attempt to escape…

It shatters my hopes of ever becoming free, of ever leaving this hell…as she and I both call it…’
