New kids at school

Wow… it’s so peaceful here… wait! It’s not real here. Who’s that person? Wait! Come back! This must be a-

A dream! “Dam alarm clocks. They are only here to annoy us humans. Grr” A girl from the covers said while slamming her hands on her alarm clock. Her hand slid back in the covers and you can hear a groan.

Hello! I’m Rin Anika. 16 year old with gold of heart… well that is what my step mom tells me.

“Rin! Rin wake up!” A girl with raven hair said. She started jumping on the bed and making the bed rumble. “New day of school today! I can’t wait!”

“Kagome! Get off my bed and get out of my room. Let me sleep!” Rin said still under the covers.

Kagome Higurashi. She’s my cheerful 17-year-old sister. Well, actually her family took me in when I was eight. My family was murdered and I got nowhere to go. Still makes me sad to think about it. I knew Kagome’s mom because she was a friend with my mother. I live at a shrine with Kagome, her mom, her grandpa, and don’t forget her cute little brother Souta.

“Oh no Rin. You get up right now or I will take away your skateboard.” Kagome said while she stop jumping on the bed and put her hands and her hips to make her look serous. With that, Rin jumped out of bed and gave her a cold stare. She isn’t really a morning person and nobody messes with her board. Kagome just smiled at her stepsister and left the room.

Rin rubbed the sleep out of her chocolate eyes. She glanced at the clock. “What! It’s friggin’ 7:00 o’clock! It’s too early.” Rin yelled, waking up her little brother but he just dozed off again. Rin muttered something under breath while picking out some clothes to wear for the first day of school then headed for the bathroom to take a shower.

Kagome was down stairs, eating her breakfast what her mom made for them. Kagome was getting in patience with her sister. Kagome is the kind of girl who would want to go very early for the first day of school. Rin, she would rather be late for school. They just moved here in Tokyo at their grandfather’s shrine last week.

Kagome stood up and ran towards the door with her backpack. She stood at the door and yelled, “I’m going now! Rin I will meet you at school. And please come early. For me! See yea!” and with that she disappear out the door with a slam sound.

Rin upstairs groan when looked out of the bathroom with a towel around her waist and hair. She was just checking if she was really gone… and she was. Rin just sigh in relief then went back in the washroom. Every time when Kagome says that… she is really saying “If you don’t come and meet me at school… you and your skateboard is so going to get it!” Don’t let her innocent looks fool you… that’s a warning for you all to know.

When Rin was finally done, she went to the mirror to put on black eyeliner. She didn’t need to put on a lot of make-up… too girly. Her hair is already dry and clothes are on. She stepped out of the washroom but was stopped by her little brother. “Wow. Sis you look awesome.” He said while giving her a hug. Awesome… hmm… since when did he started saying that? Oh well.

Souta Higurashi. Kagome’s little brother who is 10-years-old. My little brother too… just not blood related. Ever since he watch me skateboard all pro like, he just want to be like me. I promised him I will teach him to skateboard but I’m mostly busy… if being lazy and listening to music, you call that busy. Then yeah! I was always busy!

Rin was wearing black jeans with a black tight sweater with red and gray graffiti words on it. The jacket is zipped up. Her shoes are skater shoes with black and red designs. Chains were hanging out of her pants with a skull on it. Her silky black brownish hair is down except for a tiny ponytail on the side of her head.

Rin got out of her brother’s hug and went to her room to get her school stuff and her skateboard. She sighs with relief to find her skateboard there, looking perfect and not out of place. She grabbed her backpack and her skateboard and ran downstairs. She glanced at the clock, which is 8:02 am. She had a half an hour to get to school and since she have to meet her sister there… she have to go now.

Rin grabbed an apple, put it in her mouth, and started running to the door. You can hear the slam of the door and that means, ‘Rin had left the house.’ Rin ran down the million stairs of the shrine and the last five steps, Rin jumped, put the board under her feet and landed. She skateboard down the street towards school.

“Wow. So, this is Shikon High School. Sango was right! This place is huge!” Rin said all amused. She started scanning through the crowd of kids. Opps. Did I forget to you? First semester already started but Kagome and me came here a month and half after it started.

“Hey Rin! Over here!”

Rin turn to the direction of the source of the sound. She saw Sango, her brother Kohaku, and Kagome, hanging around a big cherry blossom tree. Kagome was wearing a white knee-length ruffle skirt with a sparkling lime-green tank top. And she is wearing lime and white sandals. Her raven hair is down and she only put lip-gloss on.

Sango was wearing pink shorts and wearing a black shirt with a sparkling butterfly on it with pink sleeves. She has runners on with ankle socks on. She put a pink elastic in her hair that is in a high ponytail.

Kohaku is wearing a black and red polo shirt with baggy jeans on. Red skater shoes on and hair in a tiny ponytail.

Rin started boarding towards them saying, “Hey guys.”

Kohaku jumped up to hear Rin’s voice. Rin skate to Sango and him and gave them a smile. “Hey Sango, Kohaku, long time no see. How you been.” Rin said while picking up her board.

Kohaku and Sango Masako is me and Kagome friends. Sango is Kagome’s best friend and Kohaku is her little brother… around my age and well let just says that ever since we met he had a huge crush on me. He always ask me out but I don’t think of him that way.

“Rin! You look so big now!” Sango said with a grin.

“Sango… It’s only been a year and a half! I don’t think I look different ever since you moved.” Rin said kind of pouting. She looks bigger and now she looks like an angel now that she finish developing. Kohaku was just staring at Rin with a smile. Rin noticed.

“Wow Rin… you look great. Beautiful!” Kohaku gave Rin his famous cute smiles. They never work with Rin though. She knows Kohaku and they did live in the same town for four years.

“Umm… thanks Kohaku… so look the same but just a little taller now.” Rin said. Kagome and Sango were talking like crazy. When they got there, they never met but only talk on the phone. Rin gave out a sigh. Kohaku was rambling about something like how long it has been since they had seen each other. I hope I find a friend here. And I hope I’m not an outcast like last time. Oh well who cares! Maybe Kohaku will be in my class but maybe I shouldn’t really being looking for to it.

“So umm… Rin.” Kohaku said while rubbing the back of his head.

“Yeah?” Rin said lazily. She was still tired from the morning.

“Well I was thinking… maybe me and yo-” But the warning bell interrupted Kohaku. Kids started. Kids started walking in and rushing to their lockers so they can get to class on time. ‘Saved by the bell’ Rin thought.

“Well Kohaku… there’s the school bell so you better be going.” Rin said smiling. Kohaku look disappointed but started walking towards school saying ‘see you later’. Then he disappears in the crowd. Kagome said bye to Sango then Sango left right behind Kohaku.

Rin put her skateboard on the side of her backpack that she made so she can take it off anytime she likes. When Rin was down, she looked up to Kagome.

“Well Rin lets go get our time tables. I can’t wait to start class!” Kagome said cheerfully. She was glad to be with Sango again. Rin just shrugged then started walking with Kagome inside of the school, to the office.

A really old, grouchy looking women was typing something on the computer. Kagome and Rin came noisily in which only made the women look up then back down to her work. “Do you young ladies need anything?” She said in a really creepy voice. Shivers went up and down Rin’s spine.

“Umm… Yeah we are the new students. We came here to get our time table and possibly lockers.” Kagome said in a nicely voice.

“Ahh… yes. Kagome and Rin Higurashi is it? Welcome to Shikon High School. Here you girls are. Do you need help?” She said giving them their school stuff. She tried to put a smile on her face but it only made it creepy-er.

“Thanks and no thanks.” Rin said as she grabs her paper.

“Okay well take the first period off so you can look around but after that, go to class,” She said.

“I’m sending down the two Taisho brothers to the office. They are disturbing my class. Thank you.” Said the intercom on the old women’s desk.

“We better go now Rin. Let’s look for our lockers first okay.” Kagome said while heading out of the room. As she was heading out, a person came in her way and ‘accidentally’ pushed her down.

“Watch it wrench.” A guy with silver hair with fuzzy ears said.

Those ears are adorable… wait did he called me a wrench? Kagome thought. She got up from the ground and glared at him. “Who are you calling a wrench?” said yelled.

“You wrench!” he said while looking the other way. Kagome was already clenching her fists and Rin swears that she saw steam came out of her. Kagome let out a growl, which was weird. A guy was behind the guy with the ears. He has gold eyes like him but doesn’t have ears. Sliver hair and all and he is tall.

Kagome had her fists in the air and was about to hit the dog boy. “Kagome Stop! He’s not worth it.” Rin said as she grabbed her stepsister’s arm. She was struggling a little but manage to keep her sister calm. The other guy was staring at Rin. Rin didn’t notice because she was keeping Kagome back.

“Grr… okay fine Rin. Let’s get away from these jerks before they get hurt.” As she said that, Rin and Kagome left the room with two staring brothers.

“Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. Why do you always do this? They’re the new students for god sakes.” The old lady behind the table said.

“Those idiots. Why does that guy have to be so rude?” Kagome kept on rumbling about what happened in the office. Rin just sigh and walks with her sister. Will Kagome ever shut up? Rin thought.

Inuyasha: Keh! Who cares? ((Crosses arms))

Inuyasha: ((Hides face)) No I am not jelly!
