The Easiest Way to Kill a Wraith.
By mermaid2bseeker

Hey, everybodyhere's just a little something I thought of yesterday at 4am.

Ahh, shore leave. Teyla let her feet soak in the lake's cool water as she drew on her sketch pad. Twenty feet away, Colonel Sheppard cast his fishing line into the lake even though Doctor McKay informed him that there were no fish in this particular lake.

"Fishing has nothing to do with fish, McKay. It's about relaxing with nature."

"Yes, you go relax, while I die of an allergy attack over here."

Teyla laughed, McKay always said that, and it had yet to happen. She looked over to where Ronan was practicing his knife throwing. That poor tree would never be the same again.

Everything was perfect. She stroked her pencil across her paper to shade in the mountains over the lake. There was a chill breeze right behind her neck and before she knew what was happening a wraith had her by the neck.

Without weapons, she resorted to her fists. She punched him and jabbed at him everywhere, and suddenly she felt his armor give. In her right hand she still held her pencil, which was now half-way into the wraith's chest. The wraith stopped choking her and in the next second he turned to ashes.

"Aw, hell no, they're vampires!" McKay exclaimed. "It was that easy all along!"

Ronan helped her to her feet. "What do you mean?"

"Teyla staked him in the heart with a piece of wood," McKay picked up her pencil. "So he turned to ashes."

"We need to tell Earth to send us a boatload of bows and arrows, then," Sheppard said. "Isn't that ironic. We're in another galaxy and we're gonna be fighting with sticks. Wonderful."

Please review. And yes, I am working very hard on writing new chapters for nearly all my stories. I know it's been a very long time, and I am sorry.
