He sits alone at his desk, from the rosy fingers of dawn to the dusky coolness of night. My diligent husband… I remember when he sought my hand in marriage. He was the only one to see through my veil of lies.

He stands by himself, his feathered fan limp at his side. I feel his weariness, his pain, and his stress. He needs rest, relaxation and me.

He may stand by himself, but I will always stand behind him to catch him when he falls.
