Chapter 1
Everyone knew Uzumaki Naruto had many quirks, but it seemed photography was one of those that could be instantly picked up and dumped aside within a week long lapse. So it had been a shocking few seconds when Sasuke was thoroughly blinded by a flash of light while he was trying to beat the crap out of Kakashi. The sudden turn of events was followed by the trademark Naruto cackle and an indignant screech from Sakura. Whatever was happening, it was almost certain the moron was doing something devious.
When Sasuke's vision returned in small pale snatches, Sakura was chasing a madly grinning Naruto, threatening to crack his skull open if he didn't stop snapping pictures. And Naruto being... well, Naruto, paid no heed and kept on snapping. Deciding that the blonde deserved to be ripped apart by Sakura, he turned in hopes of resuming his fight with Kakashi and was annoyed to find his teacher gone. Damn that man and his sneaky ways. He had came close to winning but then Naruto –
Hands clamped onto his shoulders and spun him around. He scowled and flipped Naruto onto his back.
"Sasuke!" Naruto howled.
"You." He jabbed an accusing finger at the whiskered face. "I was this close to beating Kakashi and – "
"Let me at him, Sasuke-kun." Sakura interrupted and joined him in looming over the now cringing Naruto on the dirt.
"Have mercy, Sakura-chan," Naruto whimpered, moving to his knees and resorted to begging. Uzumaki Naruto never begged, but when faced with an angry Sakura who had learnt everything from old hag Tsunade... "I was only trying to take pictures of you, Sakura-chan!"
Sakura snorted, not believing a word. "Give me the camera, Naruto and I'll think about not breaking your fingers."
Naruto's hands cradled the old and battered camera protectively against his chest. "Sakura-chan..."
"Give me the camera, Naruto," she said, reaching out for it.
Naruto backed up against Sasuke's legs and refused to relinquish his hold. A match of tug-of-war began.
"No!"
"Give me!"
"No!"
Sasuke watched, bemused. Really, just what was with Naruto and taking pictures? It had occurred several times during the past few years. The camera appeared sporadically for several weeks with every single person who knew Naruto running for their lives. And just when everyone could take no more, it would disappear until the next time Naruto decided to whip it out again. As for what Naruto did with the rolls and rolls of film, no one knew. There were no trace of the photos, and no one bothered to ask, afraid of triggering the camera reflex.
But now, as Sasuke watched Naruto curled around his camera, preventing Sakura from getting at it, he was intrigued. And Uchiha Sasuke wasn't one to let something like this to just up and be forgotten.
"Let go, Naruto."
"No. Mine!"
"Nar – !"
Deciding that this would be as a good time as any to step in, he planted himself between a fuming Sakura and a whimpering orange mass.
"Sasuke-kun?" Sakura stopped and backed up a little. When had Sasuke switched sides?
"Sasuke!" The blonde exclaimed, throwing his arms around the Uchiha's legs. "I knew you cared!"
Sasuke's brows twitched when the hug turned into Naruto nuzzling his leg. He gave an experimental nudge and found himself stuck.
"Oi! Get off," he growled lightly, and he would've yelled if the attention to his leg didn't cease. Irritated and uncomfortable with this show of gratitude, or affection – though he dearly hoped it wasn't the latter – he kicked the blonde aside. "Quit it, moron."
"What the fuck was that for!"
Instead of answering with the usual 'moron', he turned and walked away, leaving behind a bemused Sakura and an irritated Naruto.
Even though he wanted answers, he knew he couldn't and wouldn't straight out ask the blonde. Naruto, despite being an attention seeking loud-mouth would never part with his deepest secrets. That was, of course, if one didn't use the right tactic in gaining said information. With the right amount of coaxing and maybe a few bowls of ramen here and there, then maybe he could get what he wanted out of the blonde.
Most people knew that Sasuke would go to any means to get what he wanted, and he wanted to know what all that photo taking was about.
