Drache: Okay, a quick one-shot for Chihiro/Haku pairing. What I think should have happened at the end of Spirited Away.
The Kiss (Chihiro's POV)
"This is as far as I can go. You have to go on, on your own." Haku stopped and looked at me. I could feel his powerful gaze on me, and it made me a little nervous.
So instead of going, I asked, "What about you?"
He grinned at me. "I'm going to go have a talk with Yubaba. I'm going to quit being her apprentice."
I hugged him. "I'll miss you Haku."
He gave into my embrace for a few seconds, then pulled back a little. "Chihiro, go now."
"But-"
I suddenly found myself in a deep kiss. My eyes closed and I began to kiss back. I could taste the essence of the river on his soft cool lips.
Just as the kiss began however, it ended.
"Maybe we'll see each other again someday."
"Promise?"
He kissed me again, softly. "Promise. Go now, and don't look back."
I took off across the field, feeling my heart ache and cry for the boy standing behind me.
(Kohaku's POV)
I watched the girl I loved run across the field to her parents. Then, I saw her head turn slightly. No, Chihiro! Don't!
As if she heard me, she turned back to her mother and walked through the tunnel. I turned my back and faced the bathhouse with determination.
It was a new day, and I was not going to let it pass me by.
Drache: I've always wanted to do that. Thanks for reading!
