This is a free verse poem told by Leoran's point of view

This is a free verse poem told by Leoran's point of view. I liked that idea because I don't think Leoran got as big of a part in the story as she should have.

Stolen.

Stolen from my family,

My people,

My life.

Raised a slave,

Of the Folk.

Not knowing,

Forgetting,

That I was human.

Called Lekka, stolen.

A child.

A child was raised in my place.

A child of the Moor.

The only one that remembered me,

Cared for me.

The one who had stolen my name.

Saaski.

Saaski understood.

Saaski, in saving herself,

Restored me.

No longer Lekka, stolen one.

No longer Folk slave.

Human, once more, reliving the last years anew.

Not Saaski.

Not Lekka.

Leoran.
