This is the only poem I've started where I actually know what mood I want to set. I wonder if that will make it worse or better?

The early morning sky is purple
As the sun blooms over the mountain
I see the temple up ahead
And so begins my daily ritual
My daily burden

You do not greet me
You never do
I would like to think
It is because I enter with silent feet
But I know better

As I sit before you
Your scent tickles my nose
The smell of incense and tea
A sweet scent
A sad scent

The tea tastes bitter
As it glides across my tongue
Each day
The tea becomes more bitter
As my steps become more hesitant

I clutch the teapot
The handle has grown cold
I hardly even notice
From the cold surrounding me
Surrounding my heart

Outside the temple
I hear sound again
I feel warmth

Not for the first time
Your name escapes my lips

Purple

For the first time
I do not cry

Well... Hm. I guess it's passable. :) This is the first time I wrote a story for A/M.

I have heard that Aoshi's name roughly translates to purple. I am sorry if this is wrong, but for the sake of the story I will keep purple as the theme, even if I am mistaken.
