Blood. There wasn't any.

There was just an almost lifeless, blue-haired girl lying cold in the woman's tight grasp. She didn't know the child was merely unconscious; she wasn't even bruised… she wouldn't even bleed on the inside.

All she knew were the words that had shattered her world moments before.

Old hag.

He had called her that – him. He had said it to that little bitch and she had repeated it to the woman and somehow the woman's hands found their way around the small girl's neck. Death wouldn't come in crimson…

Blood – there wasn't any.

Not.

One.

Drop.

A/N:
Ahhhh this is my first time trying to write a hundred-word ficlet. They are hard, man:P But annnnyway. Heh I love the quote at the beginning. I thought it was soooo creepy beacuse it's almost like... comparing Naoko Akagi and Gendo Ikari, what with Ikari semi-making Rei and with Akagi trying to murder her, you know? Eh. I thought it was appropriate. / Buuut as far as the story goes - I know it's repetitive, but I wanted it to be that way. The whole idea is supposed to be centered around the irony of the situation, because when Rei 'died' here, there was no blood at all even though it (her 'death')was still extremely violent. But right after, Akagi died in a massive, disgusting pool/trail of her own blood. Dramatic irony, yes? Eh. That's what I was going for.
