Chapter: A Day Out

Kagome’s heart suddenly stopped beating as she stared at Yuri. ‘Did she just say at Sesshoumaru was Fluffy?’ Kagome thought as she just stood there. She turned pale as she stared at Yuri who stuck out the middle finger as she kept walking. The last time she heard from him was that he got into a car accident when he was on vacation with his family. She has got to find out what happened. Then she heard Sesshoumaru clear this throat. “Y-yea?” Kagome stammered as she sat down.

“You have been staring at her for quite some time now; shall I change your sex orientation?” Sesshoumaru asked as he tapped his pen on his desk.

“N-no” Kagome shook her head.

“Higurashi. What's wrong?” Sesshoumaru cocked his head as he clicked around with his mouse not taking his eyes off his computer. “Wow Wench our inbox is flooded with e-mails from men who want to take you out”

Kagome sat there. She didn’t know what to say. If Sesshoumaru was really her childhood friend, her search would be over by now.

“Hello?” Sesshoumaru questioned as he waved his hand in front of Kagome’s face.

“Oh yea” Kagome snapped back to reality. “Just pick me any guy.”

“Hm, alright then. Well I just e-mailed him. His name is Kyo Hamachi. He’s just one year older then you, he’ll be here by noon today.” Sesshoumaru then arched an eyebrow. “Oh he replied.” Sesshoumaru did some more typing, and then he looked at Kagome. “Wench go wash your face in the bathroom. You look like you just saw a ghost”

And Kagome did just what she was told.

-2 hours later-

“Well, it’s about 20 minutes after 12 and he isn’t here yet.” Sesshoumaru arched an eyebrow as he looked at his Rolex watch. He and Kagome were sitting in his office again. He knew something was wrong, he had called her many names for an hour or so but all he got was a simple ‘Mhmm’ from her. “Are you brain dead?” He was beginning to worry.

“Mhmm” Kagome nodded.

“I was hoping you wouldn’t say that” Sesshoumaru sighed as he smacked his forehead with his palm. “Look I don’t think he’s coming. Lets go.”

“Where are we going?” Kagome asked as she just limply sat there.

“The mental hospital ward. I scheduled an appointment about an hour ago.”

“WHAT?” Kagome exclaimed as she stood up and accidentally stomped on Sesshoumaru’s foot.

“Oww!” Sesshoumaru clenched his fist as he tried not to retort with a harsh comment. He then smirked “I’m kidding. Lets go.”

“Too bad Kagome and Sesshoumaru couldn’t be here.” Rin sighed as she got out of the car with her friends. It was about 2 o clock and the park was filled with Cherry Blossom petals. The sky was pure blue and the tree’s were pink but had a hint of green. Everyone was wearing kimonos as they carried a fan with them. There were food stands at the far end, and a stream flowing with spring water in the middle of the park.

“Yea, well we’ll take her next year. Come on.” Ayame smiled as she took Sango’s arm.

“You guys go ahead, I got to pee” Inuyasha chuckled as Kikyo sighed. Inuyasha waited until the group was out of sight then he dashed to a certain youkai. “I knew it all along.” He whispered into the youkai’s ear as he cringed.

“Don’t you EVER do that ever again.” Sesshoumaru gritted his teeth as Inuyasha broke out into fits of giggles.

“Face it I knew what you did.” Inuyasha yawned as he sat down on the grass. “Where’s Kagome?”

“Yeah, she went to change.”

“There was no Kyo whatever am I right?”

Sesshoumaru rolled his eyes as he looked at his brother.

“Yea I knew it you just wanted to come here with her without all of us.” Inuyasha gave his brother a big pat on the back. It was more of a spank on the back. As Sesshoumaru scoffed, he knew his brother was right.

“If you like her just tell her. She’s not going to eat you.” Inuyasha sighed as he looked up at his brother. “Hey Fluffy.”

Sesshoumaru cocked an eye as he heard that word come out of his brother. “Didn’t I tell you not to call me that?”

“Why can’t I call you that but she can?”

“What the hell are you talking about?” Sesshoumaru glared at his brother as he saw Kagome coming back from a distance. “She’s coming back, now scat.”

‘You still didn’t regain your memory back since the accident’ Inuyasha thought as he saw what his brother was looking at. “Oh she's back gotta run. Have fun dear brother.” Inuyasha gave Sesshoumaru a huge grin.

“So how do I look?” Kagome smiled as she did a little spin in front of Sesshoumaru. For a moment there, Kagome thought he turned a bit red. “Come on lets go to the food stands, I’m hungry” Kagome whined as she grabbed Sesshoumaru’s wrist.

When they got there, there were loads of stands with hungry costumers lining up. Sesshoumaru was glad that she felt better, before he was a bit worried when Kagome seemed out of it. His stomach grumbled as he sniffed the air. He could smell sushi, sashimi, onigiris and much more luscious foods. “Wench, here’s a 50 buy me some food” Sesshoumaru demanded as he sat down on the grass.

“Who am I to you?” Kagome stated as she had her hands on her hips. “Go get your own food, douche” Kagome stuck her tongue out as she shoved the 50 dollar bill back into Sesshoumaru’s hands.

“Fine, just get over here” Sesshoumaru demanded once again as they lined up for Onigiri.

Half an hour later, when they got past the line of costumers and the crazy fan girls Sesshoumaru and Kagome finally had the chance to eat. Suddenly when Sesshoumaru spotted Kouga and Ayame from a couple meters away he wanted to get away. “Wench lets go” He stammered as he looked past Kagome.

“Why? I’m hungry.” Kagome pouted as she touched her stomach.

“Lets go eat somewhere else.”

“No”

“Lets. Go.” Sesshoumaru grumbled as he grabbed Kagome by the collar and dragged her away. ‘Avoiding those idiot are harder then I thought’ ’Sesshoumaru sweat dropped as she saw Miroku and Sango. “Come, Ferris wheel” Sesshoumaru sighed as they lined up in the Ferris wheel with their food. Kagome had a sad look on her face the whole time, except Sesshoumaru didn’t notice until they got in the cart. “Sorry…”

“Huh?” Kagome’s eye’s widened. He never apologized for anything since she met him. As Sesshoumaru picked up some chopsticks and fried squid.

“Nothing. Eat.” Sesshoumaru gave her a glare.

“Jerk” Kagome mumbled as Sesshoumaru looked at the cart directly below them.

‘Crap’ He smacked his forehead as he looked back at Kagome. “Kagome, duck your head” Sesshoumaru said as he himself ducked as well.

“Why are we crouched down like this?” Kagome cocked an eye.

“Isn’t it the Japanese tradition to eat close to the floor?”

“Yea, cept this isn’t quite the floor you tard” Kagome sighed as she got back up. “Hey! Look! It’s Ayame!” Kagome smiled as she pointed to her friends.

“No its not” Sesshoumaru quickly covered her mouth.

“AYYYAA—mmphh” Kagome shouted her friends name as a hand quickly clamped her mouth.

“It would be so much better if you didn’t bite me” Sesshoumaru looked at his swollen hand. It was at least 10 at night, and the whole day he thought it was a disaster. All he wanted was to spend some time with Kagome, and instead he had to avoid all his friends the whole day. As the two sat down on the grass fireflies hovered around them. Little lightning bugs came as well as they swirled around Kagome and Sesshoumaru.

“It was fun today” Kagome smiled as she took a sip out of her bubble tea and looked at the wonderful lightshow.

“Mhmm” Sesshoumaru agreed as he looked up into the sky. “Wench look, a shooting star” Sesshoumaru mumbled as he said his wish out loud. Suddenly Kagome’s eyes widened.
