Hey again. I went to a wedding last night, and this thought popped into my head.

She smiled as she watched Adam and his new wife take their first dance. The song was slow and the M.C sung it beautifully.

Slowly, more couples came on the dance floor, starting with the bride and groom’s parents. Jane managed to drag Mac up and Stella was being led around by Flack.

She smirked and quickly walked over to the bar, where a man was sitting, his shirtsleeves pulled up, his coat draped across another chair, watching the couples on the dance floor.

She came up behind him and placed her hands on his blonde hair, resting them there for a minute before sliding down his face to rest on his shoulders.

‘Come on, Messer.’ She complained. ‘Show me what you’re made of.’

Danny chuckled and turned around to face her. ‘I don’t dance at weddings Aid.’

‘Why not?’ Aiden asked, letting her hands fall to her sides.

‘Because I just don’t.’

Aiden took the seat next to him. ‘Come on.’ She said. ‘Look, Flack’s dancing. Hell, even Mac’s dancing!’

Danny looked at his knees. ‘I don’t dance at weddings because they’re a great place to meet women, and when I dance, I look like an idiot.’ He grinned mentally, satisfied with his answer.

Aiden slapped his arm. ‘Dickhead.’ She explained. ‘That was on Friends the other night. I was there watching it with you when Chandler said it.’

Shit. Danny’s head said.

‘Come on!’ Aiden whined. ‘Please.’ She stood up and grabbed his hand, trying to pull him to his feet. Danny dug his heels into the floor and grabbed the bar table with his free hand.

‘No, Aid.’ Danny managed to mutter. Aiden felt like she was going to pull his arm out of his socket.

Aiden pouted beautifully and sat back down next to Danny as the M.C started the next song. Danny went back to finishing his drink. He had sipped it a third time when the guilt set in.

Aiden could always, always make him feel guilty. Even if it was her fault, all she had to do was pout and turn away from him, and in a few minutes, he’d feel guilty.

He swallowed the rest of his drink. To do this for her, he’d have to be drunk, or at least a bit tipsy.

He stood up and took her hand and pulled her onto the dance floor. Aiden smiled at him as he placed his hand on her lower back and grabbed the hand that wasn’t on his shoulder and softly led her around the floor.

Aiden buried her head in his chest, but Danny knew a smirk was on her lips. ‘Thanks.’ She finally muttered.

Danny just grunted and kissed the top of her dark head.

And they danced.
