A while latter found Aurian wincing as the Knight Bus clanked into view. She had forgotten to return her ears to 'normal' or human shaped ones with almost human hearing.

"Sounds like you need some help with that bus." Aurian said directly into his mind, moving her lips in aproximation of the words as she removed her hands from her ears, before Stan could say anything. He grimaced.

"Magic don't seem to do much. Prob'ly got resistant." He muttered.

"I can help with that. If this triple bus is even slightly like other ones, I can fix it." Aurian said.

"Eh?"

"I'm a mechanic to non-magics." She said, indicating the 'tool box' next to her on the side walk. This was an 'other pocket', holding not only her tools, but a variety of other things she 'needed'. Like clothes. Stan got slightly suspicious.

"Why r'you telling me this?"

"I don't have any money on me." Aurian shrugged. "And I'd rather not walk all of the way to the Leaky Cauldron. I probably wouldn't make it there in time for this Term."

"Hurry up!" Ernie (?) said.

"I can work while you moving." Aurian said.

"Eh?" Aurian sighed again. That monosyllable seemed to be this human's favorite thing to say.

"I can hold on, or use magic to cling." She said.

"Fine."

Aurian fixed the bus, somehow, clinging to the bottom of it as it drove around. She noticed that it didn't immediately head for London, but she didn't really care. When the bus stopped at London, she released her minor working, and rolled to the sidewalk. The Knight Bus clanked no more.

"How's that?" she asked, dusting her back off.

"It started drivin' much better about halfway." Ernie said. Aurian nodded.

"There was lots of junk stuck down there. The bus was rather easy to fix." She stopped dusting herself off to watch Stan. "Were my repairs enough for the fare?"

"Hn?" Stan scratched his head, and looked to the driver.

"Yep." Ernie said. Aurian inclined her head, picked her suitcase out from under the buss, and entered the Leaky Cauldron. Touching the minds of a few half asleep wizards gently, she learned how to get into the Alley. Tapping the blocks with a metal finger, she replaced the glove as the bricks moved. Aurian looked for the large marble building that was this 'Gringots' place. Inside the building, she faintly amused to see goblins as clerks. She spotted a far one that wasn't busy, and walked over, waiting for... him to notice her.

"What do you want?" He snarled.

"I am looking for a place to exchange my money, or items for your money." Aurian told him in his own language. The goblin's eyes widened.

"And you are?" he rasped back.

"Aurian." In the other language her name sounded more like 'A-lu-ran', instead of 'A-or-ree-an'. The goblin looked somewhat confused.

"We have an account for a Ms. Aurian." He told her. Now Aurian was the confused one, even if it didn't show.

"Last time I checked, I had no account, and so I have no key." Aurian told him. The goblin nodded.

"That would be why he gave the key to us. He said Ms. Aurian would have a metal left arm…" The goblin trailed off, as if he didn't quite believe such a thing was possible. Now Aurian was interested, she was sure Harry hadn't gotten here before her, but as far as she knew, he was the only one who knew about her arm on this world. Aurian pulled off her glove and pulled back her sleeve as she set the arm on the counter.

"Test it, if you will. I cant feel a touch, though if you were to remove a finger, I would." Aurian said. The goblin stared at her arm for a second, and then inspected it. He nodded after a little while.

"It is metal." he rasped, and handed the silver haired woman a small silver key. "Go talk to another of the goblins and show him that key." Aurian nodded, and walked to another goblin.

Aurian rode the cart with a small smile to the vault, handing the key and lamp alternately to the goblin before he spoke. Once the door opened, Aurian was faintly amused, and surprised again to find that someone had found and transferred one of her smaller hoards of treasure on this planet into the vault.

"Is there a way I can transfer some of these magical items into money?" she asked while looking through one of the piles.

"There is a pawn shop-like establishment not far from the building." He told her, watching as she selected sever enchanted (by herself) items that she put into a bag. Aurian then walked into a corner where several belts hung on a few improvised pegs. Aurian looked them over, before standing before a plain one with eight gems set in the belt. Emerald, ruby, diamond, pearl, sapphire, obsidian, cracked opal, and a small stud of steel.

"Berylithrinox, Malystrix, Phendrana, Altherion, Khellendros, Onysablet, Devastryx, Jason (1&2)." Aurian muttered, lightly touching each gem in the order mentioned above. "Nice to see you again." She picked the belt off the wall, and added it to the pattern of other belts on her clothes under the trench coat. She left, nodding for the goblin to shut the vault.

Aurian left Gringots to a small store ignored the fuss over the rare magical oddities she had brought. She got a nice amount of money for the 'worthless enchantments', according to her, none were important, and went to buy supplies, namely potions equipment and a few paper-books. Aster she finished that, she stopped out side the wand shop. After staring at it and getting no few stared from passersby, she walked in. Olivander was a little slow in coming to greet her, possibly because her 'shields' were working so well.

"Greetings. Here for a wand?" Olivander looked up at her face. Aurian started, as she recognized this man, slightly, from the last time she was on this world, which was medieval era, and a 'shield' slipped, allowing him a brief; ghostly look at one of her other forms. The one that was quite large, scaled, and had very large, sharp teeth. He backed up, startled.

"The Silver!" He choked out. "You, and your Kynd, left!"

"mm..." Aurian looked around for paper, but found none. so she settled for the other method- drawing the lettes in the air. "I left, but came back..my accident. I was returning someone, but my spell went off. I got dragged along."

"Has Dumbledore enrolled you?" Olivander asked.

"As teacher and student. I get to live a double life again." Aurian sighed again, rubbing her left arm absently. "Although I don't know why. I need a wand, and my magic is useless with one."

"Ah, yes, the finger-spells." He nodded, and then squinted at her. "But you have our magic as well."

"Hmm. I need a wand then." Aurian walked over to the desk and sat cross-legged in mid air.

Ok…

(1) DL fans may recognize the names. Berylithrinox is the name of the huge Green (poison gas) dragon that terrorized and destroyed Qualinesti in War of the Souls trilogy. Malystrix is the name of the huge Red (fire) dragon that destroyed Kendermore, and nearly became a goddess. Khellendros is the name of Kitarias' (older half sister to Majere twins) Blue (lightening) dragon, Skie. Onysablet is the name of the large Black (acid) dragon that transformed most of the Plains into a large swamp. Phendrana is from Metroid Prime, the Phendrana area… Cliffs? Any who, Devastryx is one of the names of the Lone Power in the Young Wizards Series by Diane Duane. The elements for the swords go Berylithrinox-acid, Malystrix-fire, Phendrana-ice, Altherion-light, Onysablet-darkness, Devastryx-All elements, and Jason is a 'plain', no element, blade that can change metal, shape, or style depending on what Aurian wants, like Devastryx, only not elements.

(2) Jason may change names. At the moment I have Jason, Edward, and Jack for names of the shifting blade. It would be nice if it matched wit the rest of the names, but I'm not that picky. If anyone has any good ideas, can you let me know? Message me them! Or Review them... one of the two
