Expectations

Sitting here all alone,

To scared to face the world,

Because when they study me,

All they are is disillusioned,

If only they could see.

There's a hurdle all around,

This lonely life I've built,

They've got to beat before they find,

The pain that lies within,

They can't feel inside my mind.

There is just one who sees inside,

Who has beaten the defences,

To he alone I can talk,

Of my fears, comfort, success and failure,

He has taught me to love and trust.
