"Twilight"
by The Wolfess
Find me hiding in the shadows
Where nary a spider would crawl
Rejoice in the pain of my punishment
I am slave to the illusion of law
My soul is destiny bound
By a jester's courtly whim
Donning his mask of chivalry
To play a part for him
Justice dealt as twisted lark
Courtesy of a crimson blade
Noble behind my knightly façade
In shackles my life is made
How many have fallen is but a memory
Evanescing in my mind
For a hero cannot mourn
It is not the right of my kind
Travel now to your world of light
Run and leave me here
The justice of my heroic hand
All have reason to fear
